All the rooms have a wonderful view on the countryside of San Gimignano or a suggestive view of our swimming pools. All our rooms have private bathroom with shower, hair-drier, telephone, minibar, safe, TV LCD of 26’’, with Sky Silver programmes and air conditioning or heating. WI-FI free in all the rooms, in common area inside or open-air. The hotel has a private free wide-parking, in the small pinewood. Two are the swimming pools available for our guests, and a small fitness room (the use of the gym is free). Furtherore we suggest you to enjoy one of the best Tuscan cuisines in the restaurant “Da Pode”. Once it was a farmhouse and now managed directly from the Failli family, who will invite you to savour the Tuscan-dishes.

Reviewed By SJTCAThis hotel has many advantages and we would recommend it. We enjoyed our stay very much. It’s a hotel where you notice all the special details more each day during your stay. I will start with the only disadvantage. The rooms are small and mattresses are not of the highest quality and are tough to be comfortable in for our back and hips. You can barely turn around in the shower. Although the rest of the bathroom was fine and patio overlooking pool nice. ( Room 32 - pool view) The many positives are the overall layout of the hotel, amazing staff, delicious restaurant, pool, and kind family outweigh the small rooms with superior service. The hotel is priced very fair so I would definitely consider staying here. The housekeeping and staff are wonderful. The quality and cleanliness of the hotel is outstanding. The family run operation is on display with every attention to service and details. The restaurant is wonderful. Attached are photos of a very generous and extensive breakfast buffet. Includes coffees, teas, cereals, pastries, cheese, meats, toast, fresh squeezed orange juice, hot eggs to order, and more.. all included in your room rate. We also enjoyed lunch at the restaurant. It was simply delicious. We met another couple that had dinner. They had come from their hotel in San G for the restaurant and were highly complementary. Location: The 5 minute shuttle takes you up the hill to San G and can bring you back down until 5:30 PM. After that you must take a taxi or walk. Each evening we walked down the back road as taxis were a 30 minute wait and we could be home faster. We walked twice in daylight and once in dark using our iPhone flashlight. It is a very safe road with amazing views so worth the walk which is easy and downhill. The pool area is beautiful but we had a cold weekend so was unable to use it. Looks like it could be wonderful. There are two pools. Carla in the wine tasting room was outstanding! She was new but could have worked there forever with her professionalism and knowledge. We enjoyed our time with her.

Reviewed By Springer1956We spent four nights at this hotel and cannot fault it in any way. Every single member of staff we encountered was friendly, polite and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and large enough to find a private spot. There are ample sun loungers and umbrellas. The breakfast was just amazing! I have never seen such a large selection of food in an Italian hotel. They had thought of absolutely everthing. There is the option to dine in the restaurant, or use the snack bar, both were excellent. We will surely return to this hotel hopefully soon.

Reviewed By mjs03We stayed at Leon Bianca for 4 nights in May. The hotel was excellent. We had a room looking out toward the main square (Piazza della Cisterna), just beautiful. Our room was quite large and the bed was very comfortable. The windows had double glass to keep out any possible noise. The hotel is a family business and the Staff were professional and very attentive. San Gimignano is a great place to stay, as you are able to do day trips to Volterra, Siena and other towns near here. It was so nice returning in the evening to this town as it is so relaxing and there are plenty of wine bars, terraces and restaurants.

The views are really excellent, making it very suitable for a warm weather stay when you can sit inside outside. It’s surrounded by vineyards and olive Groves. They were unfortunately not serving dinner when I stayed there because they said that there were not enough guests at the time to justify running the kitchen — which was a disappointment. Nonetheless, we went to the agriturismo down the street and ended up having a nice meal there, so that turned out fine. Breakfast was decent, with some homemade cakes, etc. Good place to go if you’re looking for a simple place with no frills away from the tourist crowds.

Reviewed By Mateo EWe arrived to San Gimignano with no place stay. We looked everywhere for a place to stay and everyone told us they were fully booked (italian long weekend). After wondering around with our luggage for an hour we happened to see Mary’s B&B sign in small street one block away from the main street. We ringed her, and after a couple of minutes Mary arrived. She told us she was also fully booked but that the couple that was coming still hadn’t arrived. If we waited a couple of hours and they didn’t show, the room was ours. We asked her if we could leave our luggage and tour the city while we waited for the hours to pass. After 3 hours of traveling around San Gimignano we returned to Mary’s B&B, the couple hadn’t showed up so the room was ours. The place was awesome, spacious, clean and with everything we needed. We even had an awesome look to the medieval city. In the morning Mary surprised us with a traditional italian breakfast (delicious and included on the price of the room). All in all, the stay couldn’t have been better, I fully recommend Mary’s B&B Le Undici Lune. Thanks for everything Mary!!

Reviewed By Alistair RCovid kept us away from our beloved La Cisterna for almost two years. We returned at the beginning of April to what is quite simply the best little hotel in Tuscany. And we couldn't be happier to find nothing really had changed. The warm welcome and the hospitality from each of the three generations of the family and from all the staff; the great food and drink and the stunning views from the valley rooms. Trust me as one who spends much of my working life in hotels, this one is special.......VERY special and a joy to be part of for a little while.

The restaurant is also wonderful. We also enjoyed being able to go to the sister hotel just outside of town to enjoy the lovely pool there. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend to friends!
