Slept here for two nights with my son and we loved everything about it: the vintage interior, the spacious room, comfortable bathroom, central location and last but not least: the delicious breakfast. Thank you and à bientôt!

Brilliant - will definitely return

We stayed here for four nights in May 2022, and were very happy the moment we stepped inside. The hotel decor is charming, in a 1920/1930 Art Deco' style (apart from perhaps the staircase, which I will save you the surprise of finding - in a good way!). We picked a room with a balcony, which was nearly as big as the room itself and had a table and chairs to enjoy the sunset; it was hot but the room had very effective air conditioning. Very clean, the room was made-up daily without needing to be requested, and is in what feels like a very safe and quiet part of town but is just a walk away from everything central. Our luggage was looked after on our last day so we could enjoy that time without dragging it around. Pay a visit to the Pizza Fresca restaurant opposite, it's great! The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful, honestly have no complaints... And we will return!

Rude service, but the accommodation met expectations otherwise

Reviewed By heatherdannyellet

I was berated as soon as I arrived (mind you, I was dripping wet from the downpour of rain and clearly not in a good mood) by the hotel clerk for an issue with my company credit card. I arrived on a Sunday and he scolded me repeatedly because no one at the company was answering the call to deal with the issue. OF COURSE THEY DIDNT, it was Sunday. When I left on the Friday before, I was told the credit card was authorized without issue. The service was overall very rude. Once I called down to the front desk for an iron and the clerk said 'yes but you have to come get it'. Clearly, they don't know how to treat guests here and/or are overworked and understaffed. Either way, they need to improve.

Lovely hotel / staff

Reviewed By WelshCouple87

Nice hotel with good location to Midi station, making access to and from the airport and ease. It is about a 15-20min walk to the centre, but we knew this in advance and like to walk, so it was ideal. A little run down in areas around the hotel, but the hotel itself was great, with a welcome gift,.free drink at the bar given on arrival, which was a great touch from the hotel team.

Hotel decent, area not so much.

On a map the hotel is conveniently located beside the Brussels South train station making it very easy to get to and from the airport. There is also a metro underneath which gets you easily into the centre of Grand Place in less than 10 minutes, however you will also find this is walkable in about 20 minutes. The train station also has an array of shops, fast food outlets and a Carrefour. However, this location is a stain on Brussels and you will have to deal with the hoards of people loitering, beggars and homeless people around the station which gives it a high ammonia smell. It is reassuring the hotel has a security guard present in the lobby to deal with any issues. The hotel itself is decorated tastefully and is still keeping its modern feel through the wear and tear. The greeting and check-in was friendly and efficient. I am glad I went for a premium room which comes with an extra sofa bed. The room was large by city standards and was more in keeping with an Ibis Styles due to the decoration. This was in comparison to the standard rooms which I peeked into and were smaller and more dated. The room had the usual amenities as expected with tea/coffee, hairdryer, good lighting and plenty of plug sockets. The room was advertised as having 43" TV but I assure you this is one occasion size matters and it was a standard size but did have two English channels. Also no complimentary bottle of water. The bathroom was functional but a bit dated and showing signs of wear and tear. The bed was very comfortable if a little unconventionally made. No mattress cover, instead they have a mattress topper which was very comfortable but this is what is wrapped in a sheet that you sleep on top of. The sofa bed when used as a sofa is not that pleasant but fine for getting some work done. The WiFi was not good. I did a speed test at various times during my stay. During the day it got an average of 3mbs but at the night when I presume most guests were in, it was down between 0.9- 2 mbs. This was an exceptionally busy weekend in Brussels being the Jazz festival. This explains the pricing for this hotel which unfortunately was not justified. If this had been normal Ibis pricing it would have improved by rating and I'd have said 'you get what you pay for', but not in this case. I would still stay here again, but just be warned and informed through the reviews of what you are going to. Or pay the extra for a hotel in the centre.

My husband, 2 sons (2 years and 8 months) and I spend the night at JAM Hotel. With 2 small children it can be challenging finding a good hotelroom with enough space for the little beds and all your stuff. But Jam was amazing! The cribs where already set up at our arrival, the room had plenty of room and the cocktails at the bar where amazing (WiFi strong enough for the babymonitor, GREAT!)! They where really mindful and wanted to help with everything. We will definitely be back and be recommending the hotel to our friends!

Cosy and stylish boutique hotel without the attitude

Reviewed By indogerman

I was really happy with my lovely room at The Neufchâtel. The price was a bargain for such a nice boutique hotel. The front desk staff were a young friendly bunch:) They were always available for my questions, speak good English and allowed me to check in early (as my room had been ready). The location is nice as it is not far from the Bruxelles Midi station (take the tram 81) ans is around the corner from the gorgeous neighbourhood Châtelain. The bed was so comfortable and is perfect for a nap in the afternoon. Loved the pillows and duvet. I also appreciate the coffee and tea facilities in the room, although the maid had not replenished the stock of teabags/Nescafé. Unfortunately the walls can be quite thin and if there is a little party in the room next door, you will hear it. Nevertheless I loved it there and will be back!

Weekend away

Reviewed By heathend

Stayed here over a long weekend hotel clean and modern. Rooms a nice size, beds comfortable, mattress in ur room looked new. Nice little touch with min shampoo etc. Tran and coffee facilities and a fridge. Breakfast nice, good choice, a little expensive but it does save hunting about elsewhere. Hotel is on a back street just off of a main road with lots of restaurants and shops about. I would say Gare du midi station is the nearest to the hotel and about 15 mins walk if you don't like a walk then the metro to Louise takes 5 min to walk to the hotel. The only issue we had which was not the hotels fault was a total idiot racing up and down the road with an horrendous exhaust that woke us each night we were there. Having said that the hotel seemed to ignore it!.

Worst experience of my life !

Reviewed By Khaoularekraki

This hotel has very bad reputation and I didn’t know that. My phone number was shared with an external customer who stayed at the bar and when I wanted to make a complain about it because I was staying one night at the hotel the receptionist who worked at night denied my complain and started swearing at me. The security man was very rude and pushed me. They both said a lot of bad words to me and when I called the police they said that I am the one who started being rude. This hotel allows prostitution and a lot of bad businesses is happening there. Be very careful, as a woman I didn’t feel safe and Saint-Gilles is a bad place in Brussels. It is dangerous and a lot of crimes is happening in this area. The staff have no respect for women and the boss is not honest. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! I already open a case with the police! There is no excuse for accusing a client and especially being violent to the client !!!!
