As an 11 year old in 2019, i went that year in April to Disneyland Paris but my family stayed in this hotel the night before. This hotel was fairly good, nice beds, room for everyone, good views, and a nice restaurant/cafe in the lobby area. Now i have to say it definitely wasn't the best hotel i have ever stayed in but the prices are cheap, and was a good lead up to the Disney trip. Customer service wasn't bad at all, but overall the hotel could do with some improvements. Now in 2022 as an almost 14 year old, i will be staying at the same hotel in the way i did last time (the night before the trip) on the 29th on May, and we may be staying after our Disney trip too for an extra day in Paris on the 1st of June night. Fingers crossed it will be as nice as it was 3 years ago!! :)

Decent upscale hotel with family rooms conveniently located for Disneyland

Reviewed By Invictus5930

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and 5-year old daughter for 3 nights. We had previously stayed at ibis Marne-la-Vallée during a previous visit to Disneyland Paris. This time, however, I was surprised to be advised by the hotel that it was not possible for the three of us to stay in one room even if we did not require a separate bed and despite having done so in the past. This Novotel was a more upscale alternative with larger rooms containing a queen-size bed and sofa bed accommodating up to 4 people. Unlike ibis, however, which was only one RER stop away from Disneyland with the station right in front of the hotel, this Novotel is about a 20-minute walk away from an RER stop and 5 stops away (20 minutes) from Disneyland. You have to cross a road and walk through a community playground and mall parking lot before entering a mall with direct access to the RER station. At night the area outside the mall felt a bit dodgy. The upside is that this hotel is closer to central Paris, requiring only 25 minutes on the RER rather than 40 or so minutes from ibis. The hotel itself is a decent, standard Novotel, with key touches making it significantly more upscale than an ibis - proper air conditioning system working even outside the summer period, a mini bar, a water kettle with instant coffee and tea, and a water container which can be filled up from the Brita water filter in the corridor. The room is quite spacious and comfortable, although it was quite dusty. The bathroom is of the same mold as an ibis bathroom, except for some chrome touches to make it look a bit more premium, a shower cubicle with a small waterfall shower and Rituals shower gel dispensers. The lobby is very spacious, adding to its upscale feel. There is a basement parking garage but it is not connected to the hotel. The garage has no lift, so the hotel suggests that you unload any heavy luggage in front of the hotel before entering the garage. Parking costs EUR 12 per night. To avoid having to pay at the parking barrier every time you leave the garage, you can request an exit ticket from the reception and be charged for the parking upon checkout. Given our experience taking the RER to Paris on our first day, and having to walk through dimly-lit areas back to the hotel, we preferred to drive to Disneyland and the La Vallée Village outlet. Since we were three, and parking at Disneyland costs EUR 30 per day, it proved to be cost-effective to drive rather than take the RER. We also did not have to worry about catching the last 23:45 RER out of Disneyland after the end of the Disney Illumination show which starts very late at 23h. The hotel has a pool and outdoor lounge area but the pool was empty during our stay. It was in any event not hot enough to swim during our stay in early May. Breakfast was quite good, with bacon, scrambled eggs, pancakes, etc. I would preferred longer hours as it ended by 9:30 on weekdays and 10 on weekends and holidays. I was only provided one welcome drink due to my silver Accor membership, even though I had been offered drinks for my whole family at other Novotel, Mercure and ibis hotels. I was allowed a late checkout at 14h. While I rate the facilities positively, I rate their housekeeping quite negatively. I fortunately read upon arrival a note on the door that rooms would by default not be cleaned every day. This note was in relation to COVID-19, but with the current situation in France no longer entailing any measures, I found this to be a ridiculous protocol. I immediately informed the reception that I wanted the room cleaned every day. I’ve come across other reviews where people were not aware of this policy and complained about the room nor having been cleaned throughout long stays. I was not informed of this policy during check-in. On the second day, the room was cleaned but my daughter’s bed was not made. Glasses in the room and bathroom were not replaced, and a milk container I brought up from the lobby was not taken away. I informed the reception about my daughter’s bed which had not been made. On the third day, we had returned past midnight from a full day at Disneyland. I immediately noticed that one of my house slippers was missing. I informed the reception the following morning, which is when we were due to check out. I asked the reception to inquire of housekeeping whether they had noticed the missing slipper. While the slippers were fortunately of little value, it was quite irritating to have lost one which obviously requires that I purchase a new pair. I only wore the slippers in the room so it could only have been taken out of the room while the room was cleaned. One slipper is of no use to anyone, so it was clearly taken out by accident. When I inquired of the reception prior to checkout, I was told that there was no information regarding the missing slipper. All in all, this is a decent, upscale hotel for families who wish to visit Disneyland.

Very efficient staff

First of all, I want to thank Safia from the reception, who was very efficient and helped me in solving a problem I had! I stayed in this hotel for one month, in may 2022. The room was very comfortable, the bed large and soft, the bathroom always clean. Breakfast simple, but good and fresh. If you go by car, the parking is large. Going to Paris centre took me few minutes, because the RER A (chatelet-les halles, auber) is 10 minutes from the hotel (5 if you take a bus).

Au chaud sans dormir

Reviewed By tiboagne
