Fabulous hotel
Reviewed By moosefr87We went to 'Villa del Mar' for a relaxing short holiday in January 2014. We were looking for a comfortable and quiet place, and it was just perfect. The hotel is just by the sea, so we could see it from our room and balcony, and we could even hear it from the bedroom when we opened the window. The hotel has only a few suites, which makes it quite unique and quiet. We had suite no. 7 which was very large, with two bedrooms and a lovely sofa place by the window, as well as a table, bathroom, etc. It was very clean and cozy. The spa is also great: there is a sauna, pool and whirlpool. I imagine it might be easily crowded but there were few people at the hotel during this time of the year, so we could enjoy the spa area very comfortably. The spa area is free and it is possible to book some massages that are obviously not free. There is also a fitness centre. Finally, we were half board (I am not sure whether we have the option not to be) and food was delicious. We usually had a brunch around 10am and dinner in the evening. The only drawback is that dinner is from 5 to 8pm so not very late, but it was ok for us. We could choose the dishes for dinner and there was a choice between meat, fish and vegetarian. Starters included soup and salad bar. We loved every single dish! I would be curious to see this place during summer, but in winter it is the perfect place to stay and relax. Niechorze was quite empty, although it seems to be expanding and it must be very popular during summer. People mostly speak German which I did not expect.

Misleading 4 Stars rating
Reviewed By Thomasjp24Spent there 3 days middle of the week This place is rated as a 4 stars but in my opinion it sits around 3 STARS and not highier. Some major Health & Safety issues for kids It says it is a Spa place so we made a booking in this place hoping to get some tratment. How suprised I was when we found that there is a 2 day waiting list. It shows that this place cannot cope with all the guests and Spa area is to small hence it shouldn't called itself a Spa. Swimming pool is a good size but not the biggest and if you like to swim long distance it might be too short and you will end up wasting energy and not be able to relax but for me it was okay. This place has in advert-Child friendly so if you are hoping for short romantic break or like peace and quiet this place was full of kids ( including my one :)) Not all the towers ( there are 4 ) has got a lift so if you are with kids and are above ground floor or below ask before booking. There is no kids menu on the breakfast or dinner so I ended up runing backwards and forward to the bufet trying to grab something that my small one would like and that it wasn't to spicy. Kids play area:Hmmm The biggest issue for me was with safety. In the place full of kids with few double socets in that room around 20 cm above the floor only one of each of the double socets was covered up and rest were exposed- really ? My kid biggest fun is to put her fingers in any socet she finds hence I brought some covers with me for my room but was not expeting that. Some toys are not in the best shape or not enough ( for example 1 ride on car) or are dirty and need some cleaning. Floor in this room is made of wooden pannels so needed to watch her all the time not to bump her head. My balcony had wooden patio floor that was nice but wasn't cleaned properly with jet wash and that combine with a little bit of rain caused it to become an ice ring. On top of that my patio had plant pot on one half and second had a metal banister with stone type ledge on the inside about 20 cm in width just 5 cm above patio level ( will attach picture ) so you can imagine if you let you small one play on it without constant close supervision this might end up with smashed head. The room wasn't the cleanest one and not to 4 class standart as well there was some rust on heaters in the bathroom and the bin, few cracked tiles and out of shape door frames by the tiles. There is undergroung carpark at extra charge Staff: was polite and made an efort especially in the restaurant and this was to 4 star standart or even above. The only but is that I heard few cleaners sware in Polish and having bilingual kid don't help. So my advice is to do that out of view of the guest and not on corridors or don't do that at all :) Bedroom was so small that ended up moving the bedside and pushing the bed against the wall in order to be able to close the door-fun. Lack of power points in my room to charge the gadets. Ended up unpluging kettle as well as charging ipad in the bathroom :) There is no tea bags,sugger or coffee in the room so be aware and bring your own with you. There are few shops around so not a big issue but for 4 star place at least the start up kit it's a must. Water quality is not the best so you might end up getting to boil bottle water but it is really up to your personal taste.

Reviewed By Ognjen77We booked a long weekend 7.-10.6.19 an were on our way there stucked in a traffic jam, so we phoned to tell them that we’re arriving later. They told us they moved us to completely other resort!!! and nobody informed us! as a matter a fact- they even wrote in an email that we can rent towels and that they’ve reserved two parking spaces for us!!! and we were travelling with 5 children under 8, one of them a baby of 5 months! Never again!!!

Reviewed By Olaf MWe had a room on the first floor right above the entrance to the building. It is a no smoking building but it is allowed to smoke on balconies and around the building. There are lots of ashtrays around. When someone smoked at the entrance we had to close the windows. The room was nice but it was not cleaned properly. We found an old piece of chocolate under the bed and an empty TicTac box under the wardrobe. The bathroom was covered in stain and it was not clean. Spiders webs were on the lamp. No soap in the bathroom - we were informed that it was not in the standard. We could rent an electric kettle for 5 PLN a day. When we expressed our surprise the receptionist said it was a joke. I don't think so.
