The House | How it Begun It is from a hundred years old farm house which was rebuilt, in the area of the Gandara (sandy ground and unproductive land in the litoral region) that this history begins – The house of the Lake – Casa da Lagoa – stands right next to the Lake, between lands of cultivation, forests and dunes. Casa da Lagoa, also has a farmhouse where we grow the best that our land provides. Casa da Lagoa has 3 double rooms with private bathrooms and terrace. There is also a Maisonette(4 persons) with living room/kitchenette/Bathroom. In the main house there is a dinning room, living room, a little library, a local shop, patio, garden and a farm with its own conscient production

Reviewed By b_filmWe spent 5 nights in CASA DA LAGOA and enjoyed our time there very much. A wonderful breakfast with homemade jam and bread from Odet, the mother of Jose. She made a fire in the fireplace of the living room after a rainy day. Beside the own, clean and comfortable room, the whole house could be used by the guests. A living room, a spacious kitchen and a large table in the courtyard gave us the feeling of a family home. All very tasteful designed. We got fresh oranges from their own tree, there was wine from almost all Portuguese growing areas, beer...We had the opportunity to talk to other guests, but we could also just sit alone on our terrace. A very special place for us with scenic surroundings and very friendly hosts. Quite great.

Amazing experience for family stay with a kid
Reviewed By isayrinusaytaBeen here for the first time last week. The hotel exceed my expectation. It seems the hotel has 3 separate main buildings in the area. You must wear your mask inside the property. It has been a wonderful experience to spend family time in the hotel. 1. LOCATION The location is easy to reach by google maps. You will read a small sign (Herdade Lago Real). If you pass the road to Mira beach, you can see the hotel from your way. It is only 4 mins from the city center. When you need something, you can go there to buy things to Pingo doce or Intermarché. 2. PRICE The price is OK. We paid almost €100 for 1 night and it is worth-staying more than 1 night there. We booked by phone and paid at the property when we checked-in. 3. PARKING It is easy to find park your vehicle there and it is totally free. 4. FACILITIES I do not know which one I should mention first since they provide many things. - ROOM The room is quite spacious for 3 of us. The room is clean and well equipped. They have TV, AC, and small fridge. Unfortunately, our fridge did not work well. We put our drinks there and did not cold at all. The bathroom is quite big and with complete equipment. It is clean. You have bath-up, hairdryer, clean towels, and bath compliments. The building seems like an old building but it doesn't matter for us. They do maintenance well. Everything is clean. - POOL They have main pool and small pool in other building. Both are very clean. It is very good for relaxing. Many benches are available for the clients for free. - Tennis yard, football field, bilyard, bicycle are for free. You just need to go to the receptionist and ask them. - LAGOA The kayak is free. It is so good to ride the boat there. The water is clean. Good view. - SMALL ZOO They have some animals to see like birds, pony, and many more. It is free to see around. - Playground for the kids for free - Bar near the pool. - Massage place. You can do appointment and pay there. - Buffet dinner is available at the property €15 per person. You must do booking in the receptionist. 5. STAFF Staffs are friendly and helpful. They are nice. We saw they always clean the space due to covid19. 6. BREAKFAST Food is good. We like it. You have fruits, bread, drinks, and cereals.

Reviewed By Del-GregoryIf you’re looking for a genuine getaway from it all venue then this is the place for you! A huge colonial style hotel/ complex in the middle of nowhere almost. English is a rare commodity here both in guest numbers and language. Be prepared to get skilled with sign language and pointing. Even staff, bar a lovely lady on reception do not speak the language. The hotel rooms are large but basic and traditional- blankets not quilts and no kettle etc.. though there is a fridge. The pool ( there are two ) is not heated so is initially cold until the sun heats it up. Very picturesque and has more than enough sun beds. The breakfast buffet is ample with a substantial continental but again don’t expect your full English - European sausage/ scrambled egg and bacon are the hot options Evening meal is well worth the €15 per head. Soup, salads, hot options and desserts to delight in. If you can do hire a car or you may find the location very limiting. The nearest beach ( pretend one at hotel ) is at Prai did Mira , a 10 minute drive away. Would we visit again? Probably not but was fine for what we needed at the time.

Worth a detour to stay here
Reviewed By TravellerPolandJorge the master of the house is very welcoming with cheese and port and the pool is warm and the billiards table set amongthe grounds lots of fun. You can stroll the grounds listening to the chickens and eating fresh oranges picked from the trees. or just stay in the outdoor courtyard and sip from one of the many bottles Jorge proposes and eat local cheese and ham or his wife's homemade jam. I could have stayed here for days and not gotten bored.

A Unique Oasis for Nature Lovers
Reviewed By wurlimoogLoved the friendliness of the owner, Helena. She made us very welcome and made sure we were very comfortable, despite that we were the only guests. A truly charming host with old world class! The property is situated in the middle of a "nature park" with a small lake and with miniature white tailed deer. This was wonderfully relaxing and different. Perfect for adventurous families and travelers who are yearning for something different than your usual hotel. We would go back in a heartbeat when we have more time and we don't travel for work.

Campsite located in a rural area, 4 km away from Praia de Mira, close to natural ponds and woods, ideal for those who like walking, running, mountain biking, nature photography, etc. Very shady and with unique natural features, ideal for those seeking tranquility (especially outside high season) and contact with nature, or even for families whith children. In addition to camping and caravanning, there are some bungalows as well as glamping equipment.

We did not expect much about this place until we saw the room where we were going to stay. It exceed our expectations. Since it was not in high season, it was so cheap to stay in the room. You must show COVID-19 vaccine digital certificate before booking the room. We are a family, 2 adults and 1 kid of 8 years old. 1. Location The place is easy to recognize while we are in the car. It is on the round about to Mira Praia. It is on google maps already. 2. Price The price is quite affordable in the low season compare to the facilities they offer. You can pay in cash. They have many kinds of room or tents. The price are vary. The lady will explain you clearly. 3. Room The room is spacious enough for 3 of us. It is clean. The kid slept on the sofa which could be flipped as a bed. The bathroom is clean and big, it has slider door to bath. The hot water works well during our stay. There is TV in the living room. They offer well-equipped kitchen for us to cook. You will have stove, refrigerator, and microwave. You can hang your towels from the beach in front of the room. 4. Parking The park is free inside the area. We park out car near our room. 5. Restaurant They have restaurant near the receptionist. The price is quite affordable if you do not want to cook. 6. WIFI The wifi is free only near the receptionist. It is better than nothing at all. 7. POOL They have pool inside the area. It is not too big but very clean. It is open only in the high season. This place has a very big area to explore. They have pool, little river, camping area, cafes, playground, and many others things. You can have grilled party and it is free to use the grilled place. They have many dustbin everywhere. It is wonderful experience to spend with the family there.

Reviewed By Go61162309696Un'antica fattoria rinnovata con estremo gusto nella campagna vicino a Lagoa. Due cottages e poche camere che si affacciano su un ampio cortile con alberi con berceau e grande tavolo all'aperto dove sostare per la colazione, ma anche il pranzo o la cena. Camere impeccabili, nella pulizia, nell'arredo, nella cura dei dettagli e dei colori. Bagni bellissimi. Proprietari (Ida e Robert) estremamente attenti e cordiali. Una cucina in comune ottimamente equipaggiata e pulitissima dove al bisogno si può preparare qualcosa o anche solo servirsi dell'ampio frigorifero. Una colazione sontuosa (ma per davvero!) servita sotto il berceau. Che dire? Avevamo prenotato due notti, le abbiamo raddoppiate. Ottimo anche se si vuole essere vicini ai luoghi di interesse senza dormire nella bolgia dei paesini costieri. In zona tranquilla ma non distante dai negozi e da un supermercato extra-lusso dove senza bisogno di andare al ristorante ci si può coccolare un po'. Insomma, è stato amore a prima vista, e ci torneremmo stravolentieri.

The room is super cute perfect for a couple. Clean room and facilities. Definitely well recommended and thank you again for your hospitality our dear lady host :)
