Reviewed By kprins745313Myself and my husband stayed here for our honeymoon night.. We enjoyed every minute ? We will definitely be coming again soon, especially to the spar. Dinner was also excellent. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly.

Spending time at Blue Lagoon (walking distance) was wonderful. Marina Beach (just a few minutes away) was paradise too. A perfect holiday venue to refresh, reconnect and revive. Absolute euphoria!

Luxury Accommodation set on five acres of Botanical Park Lands. Close to Uvongo Beach and all major Golf Courses and Shopping Centers. On the Estate we have the Stephward Restaurant and Tea Garden. We also have a Clothing Fashion Studio, Orchid & Exotic Plant Nursery. Stephward Estate also caters for Garden and Chapel Weddings and Reception. All suites are set privately within the Gardens and are individually alarmed for your peace of mind. Stephward Estate Country House is open during the Covid 19 Pandemic for Essential workers and Travellers with permits. The bedrooms are sanitized daily and tape is put on the entrance door that has to be broken when the guest enters to show that no one has been in the room since it was sanitized. All staff have protective apparel when cleaning. Each suite is spaced separately in our gardens ensuring our clients are not in close contact with each other.

Reviewed By SunbirdtravellerThis is a restaurant which requires recommending. It is in a lush setting, overlooking a swimming pool. You are made most welcome and the food is wonderful. Everything is cooked fresh whilst you wait, and it is such a quiet and pleasant place to be sitting whilst waiting. You can make bookings or just arrive for breakfast and lunch although I think it is nice to book and have a warm welcome from the staff. . However, Dinner requires a booking to be made by 3:30 pm on the day required. Restaurant is open from 9 am to 4 pm, but is closed on Mondays. Service is excellent and the staff very pleasant and friendly. Stephward Estates also has accommodation. Phone number: +27 (0) 39 315 5926. For overseas visitors, Uvongo is near to Margate on the map.

Reviewed By LesBarkhanWe arrived late. It was dark and raining. the time was 7p.m. We asked if there was somewhere in the hotel where we could order a sandwich. We were told that the coffee shop was closed and if we wanted to get something the Spar was up the road. My husband kicked up a fuss and they reluctantly came forward with a menu from the local pizza place. Seeing the coffee shop was only supposed to close at 8 this was a poor show. Accommodation was satisfactory. Serviced only twice a week. Wonderful patio. Have to pay extra for aircon. This timeshare needs to be remember that one goes on holiday to relax. Not to wash dishes after e very meal. Unfortunately couldn't go down to the beach because the rains had washed the walkway away. We went to report this to the management who denied any knowledge of it.. Other than that a pleasant stay. Would we stay there again. No. Better accommodation elsewhere in Natal with service every day. Normal proximity to the beach at normal times is first class

Worst Experience at this Hotel!
Reviewed By Worst12We recently stayed at Margate Sands and it was our worst holiday ever! We booked two apartments (one was the superior apartment and the other was the standard apartment). When we booked our stay, we requested that the rooms be close to each other. On our arrival, we were informed that we could get rooms next to each other if we basically give up our superior apartment and stay in 2 standard apartments. We refused and stayed 6 levels apart from each apartment. The superior apartment's aircon was not working. We informed the hotel's reception and a technician attended to same 3 hours later and he informed us that he would come and sort out the aircon the next day. To sum of this issue, we stayed at a 4 star hotel for our entire stay without an aircon. The standard apartment had water leaking from the pipes in the bathroom and mud on the bedroom floors. It looked like the room was not cleaned at all. We were then moved into a new standard apartment When we booked the apartments, we informed the reception that we required cleaning services at 10 am the next morning. When we checked in, we again reminded the reception. The next morning on our way to breakfast at the WIMPY, we again informed the reception that our apartments needs to be cleaned. We returned from breakfast around 12pm and our rooms were not cleaned. We waited till 1pm and called the reception to clean our apartment. We were informed that the cleaning services are busing at apartment 1. The cleaning services did not come and around 3pm, we no longer could handle the poor service that we were receiving and went to speak to the reception and informed them that we were not happy with the service we were receiving. The reception did not seem interested in our "complaints" and we requested to speak to the manager. The manager's secretary made us wait almost 20 minutes before speaking to him. Eventually we complained to the Manager and thereafter our rooms were cleaned. Very poor services offered at this Hotel. The surroundings are terrible. No close shops and seems to be very dodgy. I will never stay at this Hotel again.

Beautiful position on the beach
Reviewed By dchris342196This lovely B&B is situated right on the beach amidst a beautiful tropical garden. The room is neat and clean with a very comfortable bed. The shower had great pressure and everything was immaculate clean. We had breakfast overlooking the stunning beach. The host was welcoming and helpful, recommending a fantastic restaurant in the vicinity. The breakfast was excellent. Overall, I would definitely recommend this little gem on the south coast!

Margate Beach Club is located in quiet surroundings in Margate, allowing you to relax and unwind away from the busy city center. Two resorts in one, both with stylishly decorated serviced self-catering apartments. The hotel has studio and 1-2 bedroom suites with ocean views from nearly every unit. The Cabanas across the way have 2 bedrooms that open out onto views that span across the lagoon.

I accepted the fact that we will have a "lagoon view" because the lady i spoke to on the phone assured me that it is "just as beautiful" as a sea view. Guess what? You cant even see the lagoon. Lol. We have a view over the pool. My view at home overlooking my pool is better. The bath is "patched up". The shower door is broken and I fixed it. Its gloomy. It was horrible. I booked another place and we didnt even stay there for the period we should have. Wont recommend.

Notre chambre est assez spacieuse, télé (aucune chaîne française) et wifi efficaces . C’est propre , de quoi se faire un café ou un thé . Salle de bain avec baignoire qui mériterait une bonne rénovation, ça date des années 70 et franchement c’est très moche et sans charme . Jolie vue sur la mer. Le petit déjeuner est simple mais correct. N’y allez surtout pas pour la convivialité et le partage avec ce couple de femmes , ce n’est pas leur fort . Certainement bien mieux ailleurs
