Different and enjoyable
Reviewed By ArnieMansellWe stayed for two nights in one of the double rooms. This really is a pontoon, parked on land just meters from the water. The room (cabin?) was what you would expect then, compact and functional. The shared kitchen space was handy. If you have the chance to take a boat trip with Romeo or a neighbor, do it! The Delta is amazing and they know it like the back their hands, the only way to experience it is in small motorboat. All in all a great couple of days.

My secret Oasis in a desert of consumerism

I remember 3 years ago when my wife narrowed a list of 3 places in the D delta and why we choose it; I think it dpwn to some free old bikes and a balcony. Then we arrived to: - excellent elevated position with stunning views - great confortable rooms, all but one with direct river views - small villa with just 10 rooms - a home-like drawing room with eating areas - a couple of outdoor eating areas - the most amaizing pool with a view - some great walking tracks through subnatural reservations starting at the pension But this is nothing... Add this: - two young owners discretly there if/when needed to help or advise - and on top of it all, grandma, actually her cooking. Fish. Local fish of any kind and cooked with amazing refinement. Served to you fresh (pre-ordered at breakfast time that is) by the charming younger members of the family. I did not write this before. I suppose I was afraid of crowds of noisy messy tourist flocking in and spoiling our get-away. So... don't tell anyone!

Wonderful host and beautiful location
Reviewed By chrissimoneWe booked this place for a family vacation while in Romania. The owner is very accommodating and will assist with any tours for fishing or bird watching you may need. The rooms are very nice (we booked both rooms - one for our children and one for us) and they both have very nice bathrooms and are very modern. There is a separate cooking area and outdoor eating area. I highly recommend this for a trip to the Delta!

Reviewed By acidutzu952I spent a weekend with my family in Danube Delta and we spent 2 nights at Casa Nelu Pescaru (Nelu the Fisherman). I have to say that Danube Delta is wonderful but the people like Nelu the fisherman and his wife, miss Vali, make the place even more enjoyable. At their house everything is clean, in perfect order and you feel like at home. The food (mostly fish) is very tasty and you can never finish all you get. And, believe me, I eat a lot! Mr. Nelu took us on a 4 hour ride on the Delta, with his motorized boat, while his wife prepared the lunch. Nelu showed us some remote areas and Delta canals which, probably, you cannot see on a regular trip. Very nice people, very warm and friendly, they treat you like a family member. As they say "you come as a guest and live as a friend". I like to think that now we are their friends. I would like to!

We were a large group of friends, occupying more than 3/4 of the pension and we opted for all meals there. So, super advantages for the hosts, I would say .. However, in the end, the vast majority woke up on the bill with various things we had not ordered, including food…. Being the birthday of a friend, she also brought 6 bottles of prosecco .. in the end she paid the 150 lei stopper fee ... Really??? Given that I ordered quite a lot of drink from the bar, are you still happy at 150 lei?!?!? Nice, but we're not coming anymore!

Located 200 m from the Sfântu Gheorghe branch of the Danube, our house offers traditional accommodation in the natural reservation of the Danube Delta. Rooms are air conditioned and have a TV with satellite channels. The rooms are equipped with private bathroom. Free WiFi is available. Guests can enjoy the barbecue, and there is also a children's playground and a sun terrace. There is also a shared kitchen, as well as a spacious living fitted with a library and a TV.

Reviewed By MelechowDie Pension liegt ruhig in einem Wohngebiet etwas oberhalb der Donau (5 min. zu Fuß). Die Zimmer sind einfach aber sauber. Eine große und gut ausgestattete Küche steht zur Verfügung. Es gibt ein großes Esszimmer und eine schöne Terrasse. Parkmöglichkeiten sind auf dem Grundstück. Der Gastgeber tut Alles für das Wohl der Gäste. Er organisiert Fahrten und Ausflüge mit dem Boot. Abends wird auf Wunsch ein rustikales sehr gutes Essen serviert. Am Samstag abend hat er uns zu einer traditionellen Fischsuppe nach Art des Hauses eingeladen, gekocht auf dem offenen Feuer. Wir haben hier sehr schöne Tage verbracht zu denen der Gastgeber einen wesentlichen Beitrag geleistet hat.

Good conditions and great food
Reviewed By adrianal611We werein july, with 2 kids. The name is now Camelia and is very close to the shore witch is a great thing .The owners are good people, with goo d intentions. If you ask for breakfast , lunch or dinner, they will make you delicious dishes. The fish soup is really really great! ( i recommend not to miss it). The organize trips to the Danube delta with good tour guys (especially Vasile!!) The pool is ok, rooms are clean and the kids had a great time and fun there.
