Good Choice in Kromeriz
Reviewed By gregoryjasonbNot enough parking. Check in went fine. The receptionist was friendly and spoke English well. The room was clean and comfortable, albeit a bit on the warm side (No A/C). The bathroom was new and modern, in contrast to the rooms, which have an old-style feel. The tv only has 2 English channels, CNBC and RT. The bed was comfortable. The hotel itself was quiet. Breakfast in the morning was good, but we were the only ones there, and with no music playing, the room was way too quiet, like a library.The hotel's location is superb, off the main road, just a 3 minute walk from the main square. Check out was comfortable and quick. I would certainly stay at the Octarna again.

A romantic & glorious past... ...after more than 70 years of neglect and a challenging reconstruction (which took almost two years and the aid of the Central Moravia Regional Operation Program) hotel La Fresca has had its 16th century character restored. Our apartments are renovated to their original interior elements and are complimented with the addition of 18th and 19th century elegant Art Nouveau furniture.All rooms are handicap accessible. Each room is equipped with a cd player, internet access, cable tv, A/C, bathroom with tub, bathroom with shower, refrigerator, minibar, computer, TV w/satellite, phone and safe.

Reviewed By tamlovestravelClean and quiet hotel in the city center. Breakfast was delicious and evening bar staff very helpful in getting us ice and glasses for our room. The town is very quiet this time of year with little to do. Loved this hotel - great price!!!

Reviewed By Ofir ADifferent rooms for the same price The hotel is located right in the square within walking distance of the Bishop's Palace The reception closes at 19:30, there is no telephone in the room A good breakfast, including breads, vegetables, eggs, baked beans, bacon, yellow cheeses and sausages, a selection of cereals, yogurt, juices, coffee percolator, tea, some pastries and some fruit, can be eaten in the dining room or on the roof terrace overlooking the town square There is air conditioning but no sign, we asked for and received at reception The TV works but you cannot select channels The rooms lack accessible electrical outlets, furniture must be moved to reach the outlet Allocate one soap bag and one shampoo per person only There is no cup for a toothbrush There is no room for soap or soak in the shower There is no sewing set and grooming set or bathing cap There is an elevator and you have to learn which floor to aim to reach the destination, our room located on the first floor was on the 3rd floor of the elevator Anti-slip mat of minimal size There is no handle to get out of the shower There is no facility for a suitcase The hotel car park is 500 meters away, luggage can be dropped off and parking is free of charge.

Reviewed By russ_pIt was a while ago my visit - a couple of years in fact, but what a lasting impression! Went with my family for lunch. Great service, comfortable, beautiful surroundings. More importantly, the food was outstanding! Best mouth watering steak I have eaten in the whole country! Will be making a point of visiting again this August!

Reviewed By joannkaDidn't stay in the hotel as our family only live 12km from here but came over twice in 10 days for lunch. THE most wonderfull salad Nicoise I have ever had with freshly grilled tuna steak, my husbands grilled chicken was faultless .... and the price is so reasonable ....100% sure we will be back ....

Reviewed By Katerina PVisited again after many years and was very pleased with really friendly and helpful staff and excellent Czech food and beer. My husband even said that their oven baked home made pizza was the best he actually had in the region so far! (and that's something coming it from him) Will be definitely going back next time when in town.

Great location and friendly staff
Reviewed By cyclecrazyWe stayed here one night on a cycling holiday. Staff were really nice, we had to pay upfront and I don't think they took credit cards but that wasn't a problem for us. We also were asked to choose our breakfast in advance and the time we wanted to eat- again this was no problem. Breakfast for me was cooked scrambled eggs, bread, coffee, fruit juice. Good value with nice big rooms.

Reviewed By daviddJ3376XELocated on the main square, almost directly underneath the Archbishop’s Palace in Kromeriz. The hotel is a nice one, with spacious rooms and is well kept. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food provided for breakfast is good.
