Kalamesteemaja is a cozy hotel on the coast of Chudskoe lake, lying not far from the center of the town of Mustvee. The hotel stands on Narva street, several minutes of walking from the town center and the port. Right next to our hotel you can find a big free-of-charge parking lot, a public beach, and Olerex gas station.

Mustvee is very quiet (one cafe and one restaurant !) but very beautiful to walk around and get into the forests and along the coastal road to Raja etc. nice for a night or 2.

Nice guesthouse
Reviewed By EstTravellerI stayed in Veski Külalistemaja for 1 night with my wife and daughter. It's a really charming place halfway between the town of Jõgeva and Lake Peipus. The building and the room were fresh-looking and very clean and despite being next to the road, it was really quiet at night (I guess not much traffic after hours). As it was a really hot that day, having an air-conditioning in the room would have been nice but keeping the window and door open helped to survive the hottest time. Kids area in the backyard was unfortunately in this state that only sandbox was usable, hopefully it will be renovated soon. But that did not affect the overall experience too much and I would stay there again if in the area.

Manor-like design
Reviewed By TimeTrippingA last minute random booking turned out to be a nice manor-like room (look at those pictures!) that got us WOW! Service was very nice as well. Breakfast covers all basic needs. Remember to take your on shower gel and shampoo. There is no refridgerator in the room but there are a kettle and cups for making coffee or tea.

Reviewed By 60erikaeA peaceful place with a shabby-chick country aesthetic. Beautiful flower garden and there were animals-sheep, horses and chicken and even bee hives. Two loose dogs running on the property but they stayed away (were afraid). Rooms looked cute. We stayed in the main house and were the only people there. Breakfast was good. The location is kind of in the middle of nowhere so if you want to do something, you have to drive for few miles but I have good memories from this place.

Reviewed By Bjergmand_007Each room has a unique character, and the Manor can accommodate up to 35 guests. Very local flavor and “down-to-earth” settings. Nothing modern, but rustic charm. Finnish sauna, steam sauna, infrared sauna and jacuzzi-massager with water jets and illuminated tub under the magnificent high-vaulted ceilings. Outside, hot tub as well as barrel-sauna, “short men’s bar and homemade catering available. Wifi also available, “but we prefer people to rest and talk to each other.”

Ajaa toki asiansa nukkumisen suhteen muttei mitenkään erityisen viihtyisä kuten kuvista on pääteltävissä. Kesäaikaa pistäydy ruusupuistossa kadun toisella puolella tai seuraa joen mutkittelua ohijuoksuineen reilun kilometrin lenkki joen molemmin puolin siltaa käyttäen. Oiva pysähdyspaikka Tarttoon mennessä, jos et halua Tallinasta hurauttaa kerralla perille.

Reviewed By svejk57El hotel tiene recepción con horario limitado hasta las 5pm en dias laborables; sábados y festivos no hay nadie que atienda y se debe llamar a un teléfono para que te den la clave de la puerta de entrada y donde te dicen el número de tu habitación de la que se supone que la puerta esta abierta y con las llaves encima de la mesa. Cuando llegamos no fue así: puerta de las habitaciones cerradas; tuvimos que llamar de nuevo molestándose mucho la encargada (de dudoso inglés) que apareció a los cinco minutos como un vendaval y una llave maestra recuperando las llaves de un buzón donde el cliente anterior debió dejarlas. Habitaciones minúsculas, mal olor a tuberías intenso, el televisor de otra habitación no funcionaba, solo funcionaba la calefacción del baño (fuera la temperatura era de 1º) y como la "recepción era "virtual" y nos exigieron pre-pago, no vimos a nadie más durante nuestra estancia nuestra estancia. Desayuno muy regular tipo (mini) buffet, sin leche cliente y huevos fritos en un fiambrera de plástico, mantequilla en un platito para todos los huéspedes. El hotel está materialmente medio de un pueblo muerto a orillas del lago Peipsi (frente a Rusia).

A gem in central Estonia
Reviewed By E AIn the centre of Põltsamaa town, just lovely. We paid (July 2014) EUR34 for a room for two including a large and delicious breakfast. Room for about 5-6 cars to park in the yard. The young couple who own it are very accommodating and kind. Room had clean, comfortable beds and television. We had some of our own food along and were kindly allowed to put it into the fridge in the kitchen. Buffet breakfast was fresh and plentiful, very good coffee. I highly recommend this place but do call ahead to make sure that you get a bedroom. Some rooms require sharing bathroom (incredibly clean!). Great location for doing day trips to the surrounding region. Just across the river are two very good pubs for filling delicious dinner at about EUR5-8. Good value for money spent!

Small castle in country side
Reviewed By Pavel RThis house is larger from inside than looks from outside. There is one large dining room, two smaller living or dining rooms. You can sit or eat there in private. Guest roms have names and are diferent large. Room Mr.X is the smalliest but cozy. Large garden is behind building, you can order sauna. Breakfast was excellent with oatmeal or buckwheat porridge.

Schlicht und gut
Reviewed By Ruedi EDas Gebäude wirkt skurril, die Unterkunft ist zwar schlicht, aber sympathisch und gut: Im Zweibettzimmer in der Dachschräge fehlte es an nichts, die Betten waren gut und der Schlaf tief dank der ruhigen Lage, ca. 300 m von Bahnhof und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Ein währschaftes Frühstück stärkte für den nächsten Tag auf dem Velo bei steifem Seiten- und Gegenwind. Die Betreiber sind nett und zuvorkommend. Auch eine Bar ist vorhanden. Und anständig essen kann man im Gebäude mit dem Groove eines Ferienlagerhauses aus der späten Sowjetzeit anscheinend auch, sonst wäre der riesigenSaal in der oberen Etage nicht das Domizil des örtlichen Lions Club. Insgesamt also eine klare Empfehlung.
