Really nice hotel

Reviewed By davideJ808VV

Despite the outside appearance this Eurostars is really quite lovely. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Unusally for a Spanish hotel there was good air conditioning and nice beds. The breakfast spread was extensive and lovely. Parking is charged (unless you book on the Eurostars website) but there is plenty of free street parking and it's in a quiet residential area.

Good stop over location, secure parking.

Reviewed By sprinty187

Stayed here as a stop over both ways in the Pyrenees. It’s a good location easy to get to from the main road whilst the main town area is accessible up a few flights of stairs and it has secure parking. Booked via email for the first night, reasonable rate and good communication. Whilst there booked a return visit and got a better rate and parking included 2nd time. Rooms are clean and appear quite newly renovated but do lack any real character. Couldn’t get the air con working on the first visit but in a different room on the return visit it worked well. Shower was great on both visits small selection of toiletries in bathroom. Decent wifi and an elevator from secure basement garage to all floors. Due to late arrival ate in the hotel resturant first night, decent food, friendly server and nice local amber beer on tap. Breakfast was reasonable and unlimited. Reception was good on both visits, their English much better than my Spanish. Got a good recommendation for a resturant on the 2nd stop, which did not disappoint, reviewed separately. Reasonably priced for twin room, parking, dinner and breakfast. Even better value when booked with reception for return visit. Would stop here again.

Very much recommended

Good location, clean, beautiful space, and very friendly staff. Our stay felt almost home-like, topped with a freshly made breakfast served on the patio. There was ample free parking right outside on the street. We had to take a few short flights of stairs to our room, which wasn't a problem for us but might be for someone else. If we could give 6 stars to the lady who was there to check us in and make us breakfast, we would ☺️

Riding from Bardenas Reales to Jaca I stopped off at Ruesta, (astonishing place). Onto Jaca where it was a base for a couple of days riding the odd Col. The Hotel is in the old part of Jaca, about 300 yards from the Cathedral. Underground parking. Nice peole, excellent coffee. Seemed the locals liked it too. Breakfast in the bar was fine. No idea WiFi etc, not worried. Easy ride out and onto the coast. I'd go back to the hotel.

Villa Iacca

Villa Iacca, with a view towards Oroel Mountain, is the result of recent and heart-felt transformation of a small countryside building located in a traditional and family owned Jaca estate. It is a small but modern town-house (cottage) for very special clients that look for a relaxing retreat in a place fully integrated with the environment: nature, calm and relax. Additionally, we provide a close service, without giving up to the proximity to the major sights of the city i.e. calle mayor (Main Street) and the ice skate rink that are located within walking distance (4' and 6' respectively) with a quick access to well-known Pyrenean valleys and sights such as Canfranc International Train Station, Biescas and sky resorts such as Candanchu (29 km), Astun (32 km), Panticosa (46km) and Formigal (53 km). Villa Iacca offers comfortable accommodation and widespread wireless internet connection, room heating with individual control, private bathroom with showerheads (thermostatic mixer tap and head), hairdryer, and a cowsy living room with a TV set and a fire place. Free, plenty car parking place is available in the same street.

Delightful!

Reviewed By Ian T

It is nigh on impossible to find fault with Villa Iacca. The design is very contemporary, the rooms are well-proportioned with plenty of electrical points. The gardens are beautifully maintained and the swimming pool would be great in summer time. Everything is spotlessly clean. Hector and his parents are charming and very helpful with advice on local sites and places to eat and drink. Breakfast is great. Any place that serves freshly squeezed orange juice rates highly with me. There is a selection of fresh fruits, yoghurt, pastries, cheese and cold meats. The selection of coffees from a Nespresso machine is good. The old town is an easy walk up nearby steps. The location is a quiet residential area and on street parking is easy. Villa Iacca is an excellent location for birdwatching activities as it is close to the beautiful Valle de Hecho and Valle de Anso. It is also close to the Monasterio de San Juan de la Pena. We really hope that we can return to Villa Iacca on one of our future holidays in Spain.

Excellent for La Quernatahuesos Cyclos sportive, cycling in Aragon/Pyreness or just exploring Jaca and the area

Reviewed By Roubaix76

Despite the 2 star rating this is an excellent family run hotel jsut a few minutes walk from the centre of Jaca. We used this as our base for Spain's biggest cyclo sportive and as the owner is a cyclist he let us use his massive garage for setting up and storing bikes (along with 20+ other riders). The Wifi was fast, breakfast great, rooms basic but clean and most importantly the staff were always very helpful. Exceeded my expectation in every way and is great value for money, hence the 5 star rating.
