Reviewed By John Sexcellent spot to base yourself for a few days of exploring the UNESCO sites of lion rock,polonnaruwa's ancient city and Dembula cave temples. also took in a safari to see loads of elephants and a village tour which was amazing Fantastic hospitality and food. clean and quiet accommodation. if you want a swim go the the pool in the big resort 5 minutes walk up the road.

Great day in Sigiria
Reviewed By E PUnfortunately, we didn't stay at Pura Sanda Villa, but we spent a day and a half with Nadesha. He is a great person, really genuine and helped make our time in Sigiria very memorable and special. He is very hospitable, greeting us with fresh lime juice from his garden and sharing forest honey. Nadesha showed us the highlights of the area, Dambuella monastery, Sigiria rock, an ancient Buddhist meditation centre in the forest (I have forgotten the name at the moment), and an afternoon of elephant watching. Everything was organised perfectly and all for a VERY reasonable price. We wished we could have stayed at his hotel as well, it all looked so nice, and I'm sure it would be great. We truly enjoyed meeting and getting to know Nadi and learning more about this special area of Sri Lanka.

Reviewed By Sophie EGreat place to stay when visiting Sigiriya and Dambulla. Nice add on breakfast (western and Sri Lankan) for a reasonable price. Great location to get around, but walking at night (for dinner or streetfood) on the road isn’t too great.. Very friendly host and nice clean rooms.

Sigiriya Freedom Lodge is located 11 km from Dambulla Cave Temple and 9 km from Sigiriya and therefore the perfect hideout for trips both ways. There are two and three person bedrooms with private bathrooms and terrace. The guesthouse is surrounded by nature and quietness yet still close to the mainroad with busses going in every direction.
Stay is very good, but hosts are the best!
Reviewed By 999maciejkIt was huge pleasure to stay in Asela's family lodge. Place is awesome, looks like middle of the jungle and have some wild animals in nights! Breakfasts was created in their home and was really tasty. Additionaly Asela is perfect guide, if will have time, ask him to show best places and safari!

Lakmal went out of his way to ensure all of our needs were met, especially related to food! The planning and design of the rooms is extraordinary, every little thing is thought of including the perfect placement of light switches, the "closet" area, and the spotless cleanliness. In the kitchen I was lucky to watch a feast prepared all from scratch to meet our wishes. We plan to go back to this area and the Senomaal will be our place, basic, clean, comfortable, and totally relaxing.

Reviewed By BartschnurrWe had an amazing time at the Into the wild. The hotel has a great pool to relax and a big garden with a lot of different trees with delicious tropical fruits. The staff was very friendly and the manager did a lot to organize trips and help where he could!

Reviewed By 100roses100The owner of this place named Sanath is unfortunately stealing money from the guest and pinning it to the servants in August 2018 when a friend came for a short break, on one occasion when leaving for several hours, after coming back he found $200 cash was missing from his suitcase. This place also is very dirty with extremely poor hygiene. Once in the kitchen when I went to look for a spoon, I found a big snake laying there and the standard of the kitchen was shocking. I do not recommend this place to anyone as I found it dirty, dangerous and uncomfortable.
