An amazing hotel
Reviewed By jennieldcI recently stayed at this hotel as part of the Lotus Drivers Group for the Ypres Lotus Day. Having waited 2 years for this visit, it was well worth the wait. I cannot highly recommend this hotel enough. From beginning to end everything was exceptional. The staff are very attentive without being over the top, the food is amazing especially the bar snacks and the choices at breakfast are tremendous - the individual plates of preserves, pate and spreads is unique. The rooms are very modern and well appointed with ample storage space, tea and coffee making facilities and very comfortable beds. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough and would recommend it to anyone consider a visit to this part of Belgium. I am looking forward to returning.

I wonder if many people realise that the shower /toilet is completely visible when the light goes on. We booked and paid for two rooms for 4 nights in 2019. They were non-refundable. On check in the receptionist insisted that a room for 4 people was booked excluding a child. A very hard sofa bed was made up but after complaining the next day the correct family room was allocated. Not a great start to the stay. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good , but the restaurant was not open during our stay.

A very friendly and efficient welcome at reception, a big super clean room , a delicious meal in the on site restaurant, a solid sleep... What more is there to wish for? We'll be back!

Absolutely lovely place to stay
Reviewed By Helen ARight in the centre of Ypres this guest house is in the (rebuilt) ancestral home and looks antique although it is only 100 years old. The owners are very welcoming and provide you with lots of local information. Our room was spacious with lovely furniture and a hospitality tray. It was possible to walk to all the Ypres central attractions. Parking is mostly on street but the owners are helpful in providing the means to park. The stairs might be a bit steep for some people and we found the room suffered a little from nighttime noise of drunken passer-by; earplugs are useful. The breakfast was one of the best you could find with lovely fresh bread, fresh fruit and the offer of cooked eggs as well. I would certainly recommend this place.

Unpleasant Attitude
Reviewed By Patrick WI explained to The City Jester that my wife had multiple sclerosis and could not travel for our planned stay in early September 2020. My request was that they charge my card and that I would pay any difference in the room rate when we could visit. The reply was a one liner "Very sorry but we can not change the date." With that kind of attitude I hope they go out of business!

Fantastic stay
Reviewed By Paul GJust spent 2 great nights over Easter, what a great find and at a great price. The Hotel O Leper is only a few yards off the main square right in the heart of Ypres in a side street opposite the Flanders Museum. Its a travel lodge type of place very modern and immaculate. Our room was on the top floor with a great view of the main square and contained a flat screen tv and a good sized fridge tea and coffee making complete with a large double bed. Breakfast is served in a bright airy room on the first floor with fabulous coffee and a large cold continental selection along with bacon and eggs. On a warm day you can sit outside on a patio. You can park overnight for free in the main square but only till 9 am but if you drive through the Menin Gate a few yards away and turn second right into Gilderen street you can park for free all the time.

Excellent hotel ideally placed for Menin Gate.
Reviewed By W3023KBpaulcFour of us just stayed here for four days, hotel is very good and staff are super nice, parking was very good and secure for our motorcycles. The hotel itself was excellent and very clean and the room maids do a great job cleaning and making the beds and clean towels every day, I'd definitely stay again.

Lovely little hotel
Reviewed By 966stuartcMy daughter and I stayed here during our visit to Ypres and was really pleased with the hotel. The hotel was small but spotlessly clean. The location is great although parking would have been beneficial but I am aware that this would be the same for all of Ypres so this is not a negative as such. Breakfast was great and the hosts were friendly, welcoming and really helpful. I would happily stay here again.
