Nice stay, very good staff

We stayed three nights at Hotel Palacio del Obispo. A nice hotel in the middle of Graus that is a restored Bishop's Palace. A lot of the old stone work remains. Our room was decent sized with a very comfortable bed. Hot water was readily available in the shower. There were several English speaking channels on TV and very good WIFI connectivity as well. Breakfast is continental with the usual assortment of fruits, meats, yogurts and pastries. Nothing to write home about, but good enough to start your day. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant one night which was very good. Our waitress spoke very little English, and our Spanish is almost non-existent. Fortunately the young lady at the front desk, Racquel (hope I spelled that right) spoke both and was able to come in and translate. Both the girls at the front desk were extremely helpful and had suggestions on things to see and do in the area. Including the Basilica Virgen de la Peña right in town, and a nearby Buddhist Temple. Parking is on street and we were lucky each day to be able to park just down the road from the hotel. While not a typical place to stay for us, we would stay here again if we ever returned.

Hotel Lleida is a modern looking hotel situated in the centre of Graus, just a short walk from the charming old town. The hotel seems to have several parking options and we had no problem finding a space in the modern car park opposite (as opposed to the gravel one that indicated 2 hour maximum stay). Check in was friendly and efficient and when we discovered a problem with our room, we were switched immediately without fuss or question. The public areas of the hotel are smart and very modern. The bedrooms don’t quite add up to the promise of the reception area however and are quite small and rather Spartan in style and decor. Our room however was very clean and perfectly adequate, and the only thing I would have liked were a few cushions on the bed to negate the dreadfully uncomfortable headboard. Breakfast was a very simple affair as befits the standard of the hotel. You go down to the bar, tell the waitress that you are a hotel guest and she will bring you an orange juice, coffee, toast and jam, a pastry and cake. The bottom line re this hotel is that it suited our needs perfectly well. It is in an ideal location, has good parking, and offered reasonable accommodation as befits it’s one star status. We would be happy to use it again.

Aunque vuelva a graus no volveremos a comer alli.
