Convenient hotel in centre of calafate
Reviewed By fandd69We stayed here on 3 different occasions for overnight. The first day we arrived we had to wait for our room, however the staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is a bit dated, the spa facilities were not too clean. it is in the centre of calafate and Rooms are comfortable and clean. I wouldn’t rate it as a 4 star hotel rather a decent 3 star.

Dogs barking all night!
Reviewed By WorldlyTraveler56We stayed at this property for three nights. The convenience of staying downtown did not outway the terrible room!!! There is no air-conditioning so we needed the windows open in order to sleep. The view from the window was rundown homes with five dogs barking ALL NIGHT. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We arrived in time to enjoy some fish and chorizo skewers cooked on an open fire on the terrace, and served with a glass of sangria – a perfect snack before dinner. Our favourite experience of Xelena though was the blissfully heated swimming pool which continues into an outdoor pool – just dive under the little divider and you’re swimming outside with views across Lago Argentino and towards El Calafate. It was especially epic when the moon and stars began to come out. We are sad to have missed the lamb night, and we will make sure to be there for that the next time. A comfortable and lovely Bed and Breakfast

Staff was friendly and helpful and breakfast arrived in our suite to have at our convenience. I would definitely recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

Beautiful place to rest and relax
Reviewed By metaantolinElCalafate was my last stop in Patagonia and I loved being at this hotel. Quaint decor with beautiful surrounding grounds (sheep and lavender included). The service from the reception desk was stellar and the fact that they have bikes that guests can use as much as they would like (depending availability) was a big bonus, as I was able to end my evening and my last morning with lovely bike rides to catch the sunset and sunrise on the Bahia Redonda on Lago Argentina.

Reviewed By StefanvpopaView is nice but your access to city isn’t at all . Shuttle needs to be reserved and runs only once per hour . Pool needs to be reserved , restaurant needs to be reserved so everything needs to be reserved . The shuttle has only 20 seats the hotel has 100 rooms go figure how to access the city. One of the worst management of a hotel I ever encounter . Run for your life ! Don’t look back is nothing to miss here !

The place has such a lovely vibe whether you are travelling solo or as a group. Great common area to socialise in, lots of young people, other travellers and staff are super friendly. The panoramic views from the common area and garden are amazing especially when the weather is nice. The BBQ was also so delicious (the best lamb we tried in Patagonia) and felt like we were in a top rated restaurant rather than a hostel! The home away from home
Reviewed By helmutb132I don't know where to begin, but in retrospect this was the best hotel on our 20 day long trip. We stayed in NH hitels in BA and others in El Chalten and Iguazu, but LindaVista was the best! I had booked 7 days in advance and it was high season (january 2022), so, initially I was glad to have anything at all. After some finetuning of our itriniary, I asked for these 7 days to be split som we can spend two nights in El Chalten. This was granted without further problems. To the facts: The apartments are located in a few houses made of local wood. Solid and with a very warm feeling. They are large (!) and can easily accomodate 5 people. We had some very cold days but the heating was perfect! The whole place is run by a Korean family - and with allmost all family bussiness' they have their heart in it. They are very friendly, flexible and really want you to feel at home. The hotel is located close to the main street, but far enough to be quiete adn close to the lake. Everything can be reached in walking distance, and it is still very secluded. Which brings me to my statement: When we returned from El Chalten (Piedras de Patagonia: Loud, cold and small) for two more nights, it really felt like coming home again. For me, the only reason to come back to Argentinia, is Patagonia. I would defintely stay once more in the Lindavista hotel m, I would visit El chalten again, and than I would drive further south and east. Great service, centrally located but quiet
Reviewed By CoelhatorStayed here a couple of nights and it felt like home. Lionel in reception was a great host and made sure that all our needs were attended to. Its a small hotel with a very nice restaurant where breakfast is served to the hotel guests but then later is open to general public for lunch, tea time and dinner. The rooms, on two levels, all open onto a well maintained, grassy and shady rear courtyard that has benches and picnic tables. The rooms are tastefully decorated with simple furniture. The washrooms have abundant warm water and are in good condition. Cleanliness was very good. There's no TV's in the rooms but you can stay home if you want to watch TV. There is a TV though (if you must) in a common room. The Wifi signal doesn't extend to all the rooms but in some and in the common room and main building, and the speed is also very good. The quiet location is very close to the center with plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
