A stunning setting but definitely overpriced

Positives - We liked the staff friendliness and helpfulness. The bed was extremely comfortable and our evening meal was delicious. Negatives - There was no attached overhead shower. The spa bath needed to be thoroughly cleaned as when we put the jets on black bits were coming out. There were scuff marks and holes in the room. Needs serious updating. Our breakfast for the 1st morning was abysmal. The waiter took half an hour to acknowledge us and bring us drinks. My partners breakfast was stone cold but we couldn't find the waiter to complain. My eggs Benedict was equally awful with a bitter tasting sauce and rock hard muffins. As breakfast was already prepaid we decided on the 2nd morning to have breakfast again and it was slightly better but nothing special. The room itself had paper thin walls so you could hear every footstep and door slam. Overall, considering the price we paid we expected an excellent breakfast and a good night's sleep but sadly we got neither.

Just a quick review to say how fantastic the manor hotel is. We had our wedding there yesterday the staff couldn't do enough for us A special Thankyou to Charlotte who made sure everything ran smoothly and Sam the barman who was a credit to you. We have been dealing with the manor for over two years and have various meals there all of which have been outstanding. We hired all the rooms for our wedding and all guests were happy with their rooms. The views on a sunny day are incredible and I would recommend the manor hotel for a great place to getaway and an excellent place to hold a wedding or a party.

Stunning views!

Reviewed By Andy08London

We stayed here for two nights. Hadn't eaten out in 7 months but were made to feel very safe. The dining area where we breakfasted had been separated into two sections. The hot breakfast was good and tasty but it would have been nice to have had the offer of cereal and/or toast. Our room was small but perfectly adequate and comfortable with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The bathroom, again perfectly adequate, was probably the smallest one I have ever seen! The only bugbear was the traffic noise. The Inn is right on the main road and you do hear the passing traffic even with the windows closed.
