Reviewed By Emsy55The staff at Villa Les Hydrangeas are extremely attentive and pleasant. The location is wonderful, with a stunning view of the water and a very peaceful seating area to watch the world go by. The rooms were extremely clean and nicely decorated with comfortable bedding. Ours looked onto the garden with a little seating area/ mini terrace which was really nice. The hotel has a small bar, which although only open until 8pm offers a good range of drinks which can be enjoyed outside or in. Although not cheap, I felt the prices were fair for the quality of room and this was definitely the nicest place we stayed when in Brittany. Make sure you do the coastal walk along the sentier des douaniers.

Excellent hotel but menu in restaurant not for us.......
Reviewed By wooster1This hotel is located in a wonderful position overlooking a beach which seems to stretch forever with a gentle lapping sea. Two minutes down the road there are shops and cafes. Our room was a good size with a door to the balcony. The bathroom had a safety rail and rubber mat for the bath and a separate toilet which was a bonus if anyone was washing at the basin. There was also a sink for coffee/tea making facilities. Everywhere was spotless and the cleaners kept it so. All staff, particularly at Reception were efficient and helpful. The restaurant however, was not to our taste. The first night I had fish on black rice with a not very pleasant sauce. A French lady at the next table agreed that she didn't like it either and to send it back. I didn't but we ate out henceforth. We would certainly return but next time take a French dictionary for the restaurant!

First-class hotel in an excellent location
Reviewed By lklein2011Our room was large, well-appointed, and quiet. The staff were helpful; parking near the hotel was free and easy to find. Nearby are some excellent brasseries, creperies, mouleries, and at least one gourmet restaurant, Les Embarcaderes. The Cote du Granite Rose was a bit of a hike--but we could have driven to the parking lots along the coast. There is an attached spa, but we didn't try it. The breakfast buffet was excellent. If we return to Perros-Guirec, we'll book at BW Les Bains.

We can only recommend this hotel for the location, cleanliness and nice staff and very good food! The only small drawback is that there are many tourists in the area.

Charming, very friendly hotel in Dinan
Reviewed By David WWe stayed here for four nights, using it as a perfect base to visit not only Dinan but also Saint Malo and other nearby places on the Brittany coast. The hotel was recently taken over by a young couple, Kevin and Roxana, who renovated all the rooms - we had a Chambre Superieure which was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast (Euros 10.50) was a good buffet in a nice, bright breakfast room or outside on the patio. There is free parking in the road outside and in neighbouring streets - we never had any trouble with parking. Finally, Kevin and Roxana are extremely welcoming and friendly - we felt at home as soon as we arrived, and almost like we were staying with friends. We would definitely come back here again!!

Lovely hotel in a lovel town
Reviewed By Derek SWe hadn't realised that we had booked an apartment in a separate building about 100 meters from the actual hotel. This wasn't a problem for us the apartment was very good but it was up steep stairs with narrow treads so might not suit everyone. We came by bicycle. Staff helpful. Cycles were parked in their private car park but as the gate to the car park was generally open we were glad we had brought a stiff lock with us - just in case. Good breakfast. The stay represented good value and we would come again and would recommend to others.

Rooms are large, well equipped, clean... The bed is comfortable. Breakfast is a great experience. All this for a pretty affordable cost.

Reviewed By FinicalTravellerWe had one of the biggest rooms (13) recommended. Location is fabulous - perfect to watch the sunset and as an added treat watch ducks and ducklings take their daily swim. A quiet location on the coast. Best breakfast I have ever had in France - a constant stream of fresh croissants and crepes combined with bespoke cheeses and hams and baguettes served direct to our table. Monsieur drove us to the local restaurant and offered to collect us if we couldn't get a taxi. The overall ambience is one of tranquility and welcome.

Reviewed By Philip SGood location to explore the area of Granit Rose. Nice staff. Clean and well kept. Even though the hotel is right next to the road, our room was on a small inner court and very calm. We only stayed one night... could have stayed longer and used the hotels little library, salon room and much more!
