Reviewed By v mRooms are clean and comfortable. Nice beds very nice people. We have been to many hotels and motels but this one was by far the best so far. First time in Ventura California but when we come back we will come back here. My only complaint is the shower presure was to soft.

Bad bathrooms and linens
Reviewed By Dtl96So the bathrooms need to be redo, molding coming off and water damage. The bedding has stains and not enough towels in the room and then no available to get. The place is over priced and while breakfast is ok - coffee is like water - oh and now they charge for parking DAILY . Ridiculous

I'm used to reusing towels and don't expect the sheets to be changed until we check out to save water/power, but not emptying garbage or anything?! Dirty Hallways... food, garbage, stains. Very poor soundproofing... people in the hall sound like they're in your room. People walking upstairs sound like a herd of inebriated pachyderms charging around. Suprise billing $20 for parking... in the lot that is part of the strip mall. Uncovered of course. At least let us know up front... very tacky. In room coffee maker, sure. But nobody will give you coffee since they only do room service every four days. Plus the sweetener/creamer packet is so cut-rate it doesn't include a stirrer?! Really? Guess I'm supposed to use my finger to save them a half-cent. Couldn't connect to wifi and didn't bother chasing it. On the bright side, external walls did keep the freeway sound out.

Reviewed By Shirlena NHotel was over priced. Quaint, small, two-story hotel juxtaposed to 101 FWY, restaurants, shops, stores and a movie theater. Breakfast and house cleaning was lacking. There was a small pool. No charge for parking. Stairs no elevator.

Reviewed By Chuang007We stayed in Residence Inn for 7 months now due to a business assignment, expect to stay for another 2 months. The hotel at the weekends were full of quests due to its convenient location and free hot breakfast, even though it’s room rate is relatively expensive. Front desk workers were welcoming and polite but a little slow in response if issue occurred. But we did not run into any major problem during that 7 month’ stay except they cannot guarantee your room requested days before arrival. Even you are Platinum card holder. Room is nice and clean, wi-fi is just adequate but not near “excellent” as promised, breakfast is proper with limited items, Equipment in the small Gym room is noisy and towels are often lacking. Location of the Hotel is excellent: entrance of highway is just right at the corner, restaurants nearby(in old town) are plenty, Outlet(Mall) is just minutes away.

Quiet w/ nice location

I am happy to report that the staff were all as friendly and helpful as during previous stays here - from the front desk, housekeeping, and management. If traveling with a dog, I highly recommend contacting Bella Capri directly to be sure you are aware of their dog policy, dog fees & deposit. Other reviews I read sounded like guests weren’t aware ahead of arrival. I travel with a small dog and have a specific room I like. I was able to request and get that room. It’s a small room with full-sized bed, and perfect when I’m traveling with my small dog. The room has everything we need including a small fridge and microwave. It’s clean and the hotel has old-style charm. The location is safe, and enjoyable for walking my dog both in the early morning and evening. I appreciate that Bella Capri is dog friendly. For those of you who are traveling with a dog, please be sure to read and abide by the Inn’s pet policies so that they will remain dog friendly! I personally go beyond in assuring that I leave my room in great condition … so that no one would even know that I’d traveled with a dog. I bring an extra, clean blanket from home to drape on any furniture my dog might get on, plus he wears a full-body slinky (thin dog PJs) to assure we don’t leave any extra dog hair behind. He’s never left unattended in the room, either. Other precautions to consider … if you think your dog could possibly have a potty accident, use a belly band/dog diaper. Keep in mind a barking dog may disturb other guests (leaving a dog unattended, you have no idea if it’s barking). Thanks again to all Bella Capri staff for another nice stay. Note: this is a quiet hotel that IMO is best for quiet adults/couples. Sorry, photos were taken upon check out after my stay … forgot to take photos on arrival.

Seedy Motel
Reviewed By batmmtWe were very disappointed and did not feel safe. The property facility and the guest rooms were run-down and in need of major repair and rebuild. It was a "cheap" and seedy motel to say the least. The guest rooms had splintered door jambs, as though they had been broken into. Carpets were dirty, bathrooms were stained with leaky faucets, and had black mold on the ceiling, including termites falling from the ceiling. The AC was very loud/noisy. Upon arrival, several single males were loitering on the premises and we felt very "watched". There was a lot of noise and screaming outside, late into the night/early morning hours. Needless to say, a poor night's sleep. The lack of maintenance, quality control, and security has made us very weary of staying at Wyndham owned hotels/motels of this capacity in the future.

Really Gone Downhill

The managent used to be tops up until early 2021 but the manager and desk staff are cold as well as verbally innappropriate. I was so SHOCKED by the negativity and awful behavior from a larger younger woman on shift before 7am who after some nasty, totally unnecessary words to my pleasant attitude, stared at me via the office as I was leaving. She can deny it but if there's audio & video no there's heed to report her. Doing so wouldn't matter anyway. Stayed at some far worse (local) 6s and I thought (or hoped) I'd be more comfortable but... surprise! There's more but just the worst of it is being noted here. Sometimes I suspect these hotels or any other business mistreats people for the entertainment, and drama of it but its a bad trend that affects them more than the consumer, who will choose to go somewhere else and talk about what happened. Why sue them? lol just don't go back. Probably shouldn't mention this and it may not be true but I heard this hotel is planning on removing the microwaves and fridges. The Lake is nice but you have to feel safe and professionally treated by the establishment you've paid to much money to. Unreal. She had a a mask on but I heard her loud and clear, but you usually see the attitude good or bad. An average person just wants a safe place to stay with no one bothering them or unwanted grief.

POOR Quality Inn
Reviewed By 704lorrainecI booked the room through Hotels.com and prepaid. At check in, they couldn't find my reservation even though I showed the clerk my reservation on my phone. She did give me a downgrade to match the price I already paid and made me pay again. It was then my responsibility to call Hotels.com. They refunded my prepay, but I lost the credit towards my free room and the ability to review this awful place on their website. Upon check out, another clerk said, "Yeah, we usually have trouble losing those bookings, especially when we are busy." I don't know how that is possible. The cable box never worked, the bed was noisy, lumpy, and not the king I paid for. The toilet is actually too big for the bathroom. You have to force the door past the bowl to close it. They were also doing repairs to a room so that the direct path to our room was blocked. This required my husband and I to have to walk all the way around a wing to get to where we were assigned. The best part of this hotel is that we know we will never stay here again.
