Reviewed By gkumpf588425The Grey Eagle continues to be a great spot to stay in Calgary. The rooms are modern and well maintained. It has been a couple years since our last stay and we did note that (understandably) some of the services that we enjoyed were no longer available (specifically: the breakfast buffet).

Was charged for calls I didn't make , and was charged twice for fees which is unacceptable. Very overstated and overpriced Hotel , there is better and Cheaper Hotels within walking distance

It is located a bit far from the airport for my preference, and in a quite isolated industrial area, so there is not a lot going on if you are looking to have a cocktail after business hours. The hotel bar was nice, but too brightly lit and totally empty. Breakfast was good, service was good at the restaurant. Room was dated and the windows did not open which made it stuffy. Thermostat easy to work and steam shower was awesome. Overall goods and bads. It is clean, there are coin operated laundry facilities, good selection of snacks and sundries at front desk.

Reviewed By Canadian4We stayed at this hotel with our daughters Volleyball team. If it wasn’t where the team was staying we would have left for sure. The issues started before when even got to our room. The elevators and ice machine weren’t working. When we got to our room 222 it smelled like stale cigarets. We opened the fridge to put our food away and were hit with the terrible smell of a fridge that quit working probably sometime ago. Carpet was dirty, screen had been cut…I’m guess for the smokers? The chair in the room had stains on the armrest. The mattress and pillows are terrible and worn out. The office chair was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever seen. In the morning I showered and found the towels were pretty much see through…it in my opinion was a rag. I would expect to pay no more then $69.00 for a hotel in this shape.

Nice spacious and modern rooms, but very noisy HVAC unit
Reviewed By Discovery59There is so much I like about this hotel (location, friendly staff, room space, decoration, view), but there's one thing I really dislike - the noise of the HVAC unit. I've stayed at this hotel twice now and woke up multiple times during both stays when the unit turns on. I had to put in earplugs and even despite that I woke up due to the noise. Unfortunately will need to look for another hotel to stay for my next trip to Calgary...

Reviewed By KaraL1This was a great hotel to stay at! It's not the most convenient place to stay if you're not actually going to the airport but the overall experience was worth it. It's not like the usual hotel chains available. The girl's at the front desk were so welcoming and helpful. Check in was fast. The parking lot was quite full and if you have a large vehicle that might be challenging. I was booked at Clique but was put on the Applause side so if I wanted to go to the hot tubs on the roof I had to go across to the other side. The rooms were beautiful and the lights under the bed were easy to change with the remote by the bedside and was a nice feature. There was a good sized fridge and coffee maker available to use with lots of coffee. There was also two water bottles available for free. There were also robes in the room for use. The bathroom had a great shower with body sprayers and a small tv as well. The bed had lots of pillows but I found it on the hard side for me. There was a large tv in the room but mine was not working. I contacted the front desk to have someone come up and fix it. They said they would call back about sending someone and they never did so I was TVless for the whole night which was very boring. The follow through could use some improvement. I was also told the TV wasn't netflix compatible which isn't great. If you're sensitive to sound you might want to ask for a room on the far side of the airport because you can definitely hear planes landing and taking off, which is to be expected since the hotel is so close to the airport. The shrubs in the parking lot also need to be trimmed. They overhang the actual stalls and if you're not careful they will definitely scratch your door. This hotel was great and I would stay here again!

You would expect a nice view from that height, but unfortunately we looked at another building. The beds are very good, had a good night. I loved the bathroom! No hassle with water all over the bathroom, but a good closed shower!

Reviewed By lizgilroythe hotel was very nice. the room was very nice. the service over the phone before we check ed in was not so great. called to request early check in, and was given the run around 3 times. finally got an answer 20 minutes before we wanted to check in. Once we arrived all was solved and we were upgraded, but getting to that point was frustrating.

Not bad if someone didn't use my bathroom and steel my son's Philips toothbrush.
Reviewed By BarryLuMy son put his Philips Sonicare toothbrush in the bathroom, but it is gone when we come back in the evening. we didn't use the hotel soap back, but the soap bag is open when we come back. So I guess somebody use our bathroom and take our toothbrush. My son didn't tell me about this before we leave, we found we lost the toothbrush when we leave. So we didn't call the front desk about this because we are in a hurry. There are hair and curved hair in the bed. Others are OK.
