Hats off to being the perfect hosts - always available but never overwhelming. The location was PERFECT! It is right by the crooked bridge and is within a short walking distance to the restaurants and the famous old bridge. Tucked away from the Main Street to ensure a good night's sleep while being close to all the actions. The room was renovated with everything you’d need - Nice shower, strong wifi, and a comfy bed. Parking was available on site for 5 euros. Highly recommended!!

Reviewed By cindywZ7464MEWe booked a junior suite room for 1 night, and it turned out to be a 1 bedroom apartment with a kitchen, 1.5 bath, a separate living room/study, and a terrace. What a great deal! My only minor complaint was the towel situation- we didn’t have two full sets of towels and the half bath didn’t have any. But since we were only there for one night, it wasn’t a big deal. The hotel is centrally located and surrounded by tons of bars. Parking is at a lot nearby for 10 euros/day (with the hotel discount). The pool/sauna was another nice treat after week-long vacation in the Balkan. Staff was friendly and check-in process was fast and easy. Highly recommended.

Warm welcome
Reviewed By tassieBerlinDespite complications with google maps and the one-way streets we finally found the hotel with the car and received a very warm welcome from the staff, who provided bountiful information for our stay. The location is very central, just minutes away from the famous bridge and most of the other sights. The room was spacious and modern. Luckily with an aircon as it was over 30oC outside. It is a listed building, so there is no lift, but the staff were happy to help carry the luggage up and down the stairs. The breakfast was plentiful and filled our needs and more. We also ate in the restaurant in the evening on the veranda. This provided a picturesque setting for the set meu experience, which certainly filled our appetites. They also serve à la carte. Many of the younger waiting staff seemed to be in training, but were very friendly and helpful.

Great property for Americans used to modern conveniences. The staff went above and beyond as they had just reopened (most places close January and February ) and they even sent out for a wine opener and had it delivered to our room in less than 15 minutes. The road from Zagreb/Slit is state of the art with few cars. The road to Dubrovnik is full of curves and more traffic but a shorter distance.

Reviewed By 234mirnapOrdered breakfast, because we were leaving early. Woman at the desk kept handing out lunch packs without asking people, and at last didn't have ours because there were no more... Even tho we were there first, she kept (while servicing us) taking people's room cards and giving them food. If you fancy juice in the morning. Buy one at the bar. That juice hasn't seen a drop of fruit. We were also at an event at the hotel, food with live music. Half the food cold, not being refilled (buffet) and the waiter kept waking around mindlessly instead of taking our drink order. So when I finished our first plate I went up and asked for it myself at the door.

Reviewed By alb108The waiter at the Hotel Steakhouse ignored us for 15 mins, the restaurant wasn't at all busy but he spent his time talking to a friend sat drinking a beer. When we asked him to take our order he waved us off and continued to ignore us. We decided to eat somewhere else and left but not before asking to speak to a manager at the reception desk to be told he wasn't available for us. We won't be using the hotel again.

Reviewed By cantab17This hotel is a great location, right next to the Old town in Sarajevo - you can visit all the main sites in 10 minutes walking. Room was pleasant but the temperature inside was very warm (heating stuck on). Breakfast spread is large but the food quality isn’t great. Would stay again but don’t expect to be wowed by this hotel.

Reviewed By SelmaB253The hotel is trying to be exclusive, offering for example valet parking etc. But price wise almost double from holiday Inn across the road. Not worth it. In the midst of Sarajevo, Europe, it is a white hotel. You cannot have a glass of wine as 99% of the other guests are from countries with extreme religious beliefs. So 0 alcohol. This is something that should be clearly stated on the front of the website. Besides, if you are of any ill health, dietary needs or similar - the restaurant staff are extremely discriminatory and ignorant. After a huge argument between waiter and chef happened (of who would get me some gluten feee bread) the waiter proceeded to put each piece of my gluten free toast into the normal toaster… while I stood next to him, begging him to stop doing the exact thing! I have coeliac disease. He completely ignored me. I complained at the reception and no proper apologies nor compensation has happened. Disgraceful. Never again.
