A Simply Incredible Place
Reviewed By FraufpunktWe, a young German couple, had the pleasure to spend two memorable weeks in Hotel Komune in April 2022. We had one of the upper beachfron suites and can totally recommend them! The view is incredible and you awake with the sound of the waves. The rooms were clean, modern and spacious. We enjoyed the private pool as well as the two community pools (the 25 meter lap pool is adult only, the one next to the beach is also for children). We quite enjoyed the gym, which is airconditioned and 24/7 accessible and offers a wide range of equipment, including free weights. The restaurant offers mostly western style food of constantly high quality. There are a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. Special thanks go to the amazing Hotel Komune team, the staff in the restaurant, at the pool, at the front desk and at the massage salon!! They were always kind, welcoming, professional and helpful and made our stay even more memorable! :-)

Reviewed By jsmarzThe Keramas Sacred River Village is wonderful! I gave it 5/5 for a few reasons- first, the cost is budget but the facility is not! It is a true Balinese style resort, with all the modern creature comforts AC, hot water, restaurant, etc., at incredibly inexpensive prices! The grounds are amazing, the flora, fauna, river winding through the property, traditional temple on the grounds, well-cared for cows (and a calf), goats (and several babies), it’s overwhelmingly beautiful. The staff are amazing - polite, humble, genuinely caring and attentive! I loved them all - so sweet! You will need to rent a motorbike if you wanna leave the resort, which u may not want to leave lol , or simply use Gojek or Grab for a ride.

In fact, the whole place was bigger than what we thought it was. Villa Kishi-Kishi is a perfect spot in Bali itself. You can spend the whole day here without doing anything and just lounging. Outside, there is a beach club you can pass by. The area is a bit secluded and the driver needs to be familiar in the area since there are few villas that has a similar external design. The bathroom has a wall mounted hair and body wash which was really neat and the sign is terrific! The place is near in Sacred Monkey Forest and Ubud palace (depending on the traffic) . Laurent’s place is definitely a must go to! Laurent himself and his family is very accommodating and all the staff is friendly. We were served in the morning with a thoughtful breakfast by the pool. The whole place looks luxurious but the price is not expensive!

Warmest pool ever!
Reviewed By Inge1960We found this gem on the internet, we were not disappointed. We stayed in beach front villa number 8 with 3 bedrooms, we chose "our" bedroom (master bedroom upstairs with beach view), the other bedrooms stayed locked (although we had the keys). The villas are spacious, every villa with a different layout and furniture, all with a large private pool built from dark lava stones (hence the really warm pool water), set in a well maintained garden. The balcony upstairs overlooks the sea and the beautiful sunrises, which you can also admire from your own (closed) garden which ends where the beach begins. The place is absolutely quiet, not much to do except surfing (swimming not really recommended because of the big waves) and taking walks on the beach - we loved it. "Our" villa could do with some renovation although everything you need (and more) is present. The kitchen isn't really equipped for home cooking or washing up, the upstairs could do with an extra fan at the ceiling or a curtain to keep out the heat - the whole house relies on the airco from downstairs, although each bedroom also has their own airco. There were 2 large fridges and freezers, and a bottle-machine providing complimentary hot & cold water. We loved sleeping with open window to hear the waves (and the thunder and sometimes heavy rains). The bedroom was a fair size with a good bed, the bathroom had warm water every day and a good shower and free amenities, the free WiFi, especially according to Balinese standards, was excellent. Each bedroom has a TV as does the living room but who watches TV on holiday when you can sit outside and enjoy the warm evening and nights? Our house had its own gekko, awesome sound! Breakfast was good and included in the price and was brought to the villa on the time requested. There could however be some more choice for breakfast without eggs. We had dinner delivered a couple of times, everything was good, from pizza to hamburgers to Indonesian food, at reasonable prices. The staff was plenty and very friendly and helpful, although some have a little trouble speaking English (not a problem though). There are a couple warungs in the neighbourhood where you can buy drinks and food and day-to-day necessities. The beach is cleaned every morning, Anything you need, the staff will arrange for you. If you are looking for a really quiet spot with a superb view, this is the place to be!

Located in Keramas village which is well known and wonderful place for rest and relaxes in Keramas area, just 5 minutes away by foot to the surfing keramas beach activities are consisting of 9 units cozy and specious one bedroom (4 deluxe rooms and 5 standard rooms king size) overlooking to the Agung Mountain and tropical rice field and sunrise view in the morning from the restaurant and beautiful sunset in the afternoon, which are very ideal zone point to be visited and comfortable to stay for short and long-term rental in Bali. Lovely stay, amazing staff

Simple, clean room, comfortable bed, great working A/C, great shower with hot water, beautiful swimming pool, TV with english channels. The staff is super friendly and was always there to look after us. We were welcomed warmly into their traditional celebration which was happening one of the days and got to try their traditional food. Staff makes you feel like you are part of the family. If you are staying in the Keramas area, we highly recommend this place.

Reviewed By Kate RI never got to stay there this week as basically the whole world is in lockdown and no one can visit Bali. I was getting married in Bali in May and had to move everything to October which i did back in March. 3 months ago Keramas Surf Camp acknowledged i could move my booking and then proceeded to charge my card the full amount for the May booking despite me sending 5 emails. They have never replied to me and they knew no one was coming. I see that as stealing.

Lovely budget accommodation
Reviewed By SnookystraveltipsNirmala Guest House is a great choice if you want to be near the Keramas surf area and Kommune resort. This little gem is spotlessly clean. The gardens are immaculate and there are numerous places to sit and enjoy the view across the rice paddies to the ocean. Staff were friendly, the restaurant served good food and prices were inexpensive. We had a bungalow room. I would recommend these over the cheaper basic rooms which was not what I would want. Having said that for surfers just wanting a clean room and a bed for a night they would be adequate. There are other rooms as well. Our bungalow A2 had its own walled area surrounding the room with a bale to relax on. It would be ideal if they supplied nice comfy cushions as this would make the space more useable. The one thing the room is lacking is a fridge. This should be standard in a room. For the price you really can't go wrong. It is a short stroll down to the beach. Please note this is a black sand beach, suited to surfers. There is not a lot to walk to from the guesthouse so don't stay in this area if that is what you want. There are some eating options and other accommodation within a walk ie down the road that leads to Kommune resort. We had a very relaxing time at Nirmala the pool was clean, food good, service good. All in all I would recommend this to people who wish to stay in this part of Bali.

Featuring a newly renovated clean pool, big comfortable beds, air con, a peaceful garden and a great healthy breakfast that is included in the room rate. Feels like home away from home and is absolutely a gem located on one of the best waves in Indonesia. Not expensive like the other hotels in keramas and quiet and clean. Stop by and check it out, guaranteed you will stay a few nights. A true gem with positive vibes and kind people. Very pleased
