Reviewed By Nairda TWonderful walks, views and history. A genuine pleasure to visit. The chateau is picture postcard perfect, the grounds and country walks are manicured and beautuful, the panoramic view over the Roc au Chien shows Bagnoles de Lorne in its glory. Wonderful.

Just one hour from the Mont Saint Michel and the D-Day beaches. "Theme" weekends including mushrooms and wine tasting.
A very pleasing stay
Reviewed By Jennifer GWhile a little close to the coast to make an ideal first night in France for those on a leisurely schedule this is an splendid place to stay. While our bedroom was slightly old-fashioned and the lift is definitely old style French Hotel this did not detract from the Manoir’s charm. The Manoir is in a wooded area just out of town and is set in a delightful garden with some very interesting plants. The public rooms (which are not in the least old-fashioned) have good views over the garden. The staff are very friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our dinner (though you probably have to like mushrooms) and the wine list is very interesting. Breakfast was spectacular with an amazing range of home-made items ( I have never seen my husband eat chocolate cake for breakfast before) and meant lunch was not required. Overall definitely five star

Reviewed By cazz81We throughly enjoyed our 5 nights at B’O cottage! We arrived 24 hours late due to bad weather affecting our ferry crossing - no problem at all. We had booked a studio room, and had been allocated one on the ground floor. My OH doesn’t like ground floor rooms so I asked if they had any others (at least two of the reception staff speak very good English) and the lady was really helpful and offered me to look at a room on the 1st floor, which we did and took. The room was spotless, very comfortable and well equipped. Weather was freezing, but room was super cozy. - really comfortable bed - great kitchen with kettle, 2 ring hob, micro, toaster, fridge and small freezer - spacious bathroom WiFi signal is poor and no English channels on the TV (no big deal to us, but just noting for others!) We used the swimming pool a lot - which again very clean and warm! Our son loved the kids pool which is separate and kept him entertained for ages! We didn’t eat in the restaurant for dinner but I think two courses was €22. There was a choice of two starters and three mains each eve from what I saw. It looked popular. We had breakfast there on our last day - €13pp. Typical French affair, and very busy when we were there! You can also order your bakery goods the eve before to pick up at reception. Lovely walk into town, which is pretty and some nice restaurants. Very small and quiet, but perfect for a stroll around. (Please note the walk is down quite a hill so anyone with mobility issues would struggle). Lots nearby to see and do! Our son loved the legend of roc du chien! Would really recommend this hotel for a relaxing family break.

Reviewed By Jim SConveniently situated for all of Bagnoles attractions. Our room was recently renovated, large and with a balcony overlooking the town. Excellent restaurant with efficient service and well prepared food. Free WIFI. Stayed there several times and would recommend.

Reviewed By Eddie618We stayed here in August for 11 nights Eric took us to our room which was perfect for the four of us.as we have two children 13 and 11 Rooms are very clean and have everything you need also free WiFi which the children used in the evening Nothing was a problem for Eric and Jaqueline his wife if we needed anything The food was very good and breakfast there was plenty to choose from They have a lovely garden which the children played games on and fed the sheep in the fields There is a free bus every 30 minutes which stops outside the hotel and takes you into Bagnoles-de-l’Orne which is 5 min ride We will be seeing Eric and his staff again in summer 2020 thankyou for making our stay very welcoming

Les studios sont spacieux et très bien équipés, on peut facilement y faire la cuisine (mais un restaurant est également disponible). L'insonorisation est efficace. Le système de "clé" par QR code fonctionne parfaitement.

Reviewed By 906eileenb· We stayed here for 2nights last week. The room was a lovely size and very clean. The breakfast was a bit poor compared to others that we have stayed at. We didn’t eat here on an evening as it didn’t look as though the restaurant was open.

Excellent food
Reviewed By Terasa HThis is a beautiful building in a beautiful town. There were seven of us having a meal and the staff were amazing and very attentive. The food and wine was exceptional. I would definitely go there again.
