Reviewed By leslie cWe were tucked away in the dependence where we had no view and a tiny room. But the swimming pool in the main building made up for it. The pool area was unconsciably overheated and the water measured 35 degrees Celsius.Man you could almost cook a lobster in that.Seriously, we had the pool all to ourselves and it was a godsend for my aching bursitis. Breakfast was excellent, with ten kinds of cereal, top notch coffee, breads and rolls. Supper in the onsite Italy restaurant which had a huge menu of pastas, pizzas etc. All in all, the hotel is a bit off the main track but it's not a bad place to take long walks in the Kurpark and there's that overheated pool.

The breakfast was great with all the content of a good German meal. Will stay again next time in the area. Thank You for the great stay.

Reviewed By GrunerVeltinerStopped here to break up a long drive and appreciated a cozy place to spend the night. Decor was a little outdated but quaint, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Right in the center of the city - easy to walk around, but parking is tight.

Reviewed By BMAX2018Very nice small family driven hotel located in the genuine center of Bad Berneck, only 5 km away from A9. Very friendly and service minded owners and a breakfast that more than justify the additional 8€ per person. Definitively one of the most enjoyable breakfasts we have had, actually much better than many of the business hotel breakfasts. Quietly located with a creek floating by outside the hotel, a nice park 200 meters away, being the starting point for many forrest hiking tracks, which makes it worth to stay an extra day.

We are a small family hotel in the heart of the spa town, directly below the castle tower, the landmark of Bad Berneck. When you enter our house for the first time, you will notice two things: On the one hand the family atmosphere of a cozy, Franconian tavern. But you will acknowledge one thing above all: All are happy about your visit, here you are welcome. Enjoy real cuddling-comfort in our spacious, light-filled rooms. 2 single and 8 double rooms are available for you; sometimes rustic, sometimes modern, but always lovingly decorated and furnished. No wonder we can welcome many of our guests again and again. Our house exists since 1787. Experience in our inn in Bad Berneck, how beautiful and relaxing a small german town can be.

Reviewed By AnmalmstGood location along the autobahn heading towards Austria. Large room, renovated bathroom, regular breakfast. Restaurant with typical dishes for the area. There were parking facilities. Possibility for hiking in the surroundings. Nice park nearby to relax in. Free wifi but you must ask for login information for 24 hours in reception and one "receipt" for each device you want to use.

Excellent Stay
Reviewed By abagerThis is an excellent value pension about 15 km from Bayreuth, and the prefect choice if you want to avoid the excessive charges of the Bayreuth hotels during the Wagner festival weeks. You mustn't expect luxury, or the latest in modernity, but you can expect cleanliness, an excellent breakfast (eggs boiled to perfection by the charming and unique owner-manager), and quiet. The hotel is fifteen minutes' walk (or a very short drive) from some excellent restaurants in the village. We will return.

Als wäre man bei Freunden zu Besuch
Reviewed By mina2102Wer den kleinen Ort als anheimeld empfindet, der kann die ganze Sache mit dem Wohnen im Haus Bauer abrunden. Hier hatten wir das Gefühl Freunde zu besuchen, die einen liebevoll umsorgen. Das Haus hat eine schöne Geschichte, die die Gastgeberin sicher gerne erzählt. Es ist ein altes Haus aber liebevoll in Schuss gehalten. Die alten Möbel sind sehr gepflegt und alles in Allem ist es sehr sauber. Unser Zimmer war angeblich das kleinste von allen und doch recht groß für meine Erfahrungen. Das Frühstück bekommt man direkt an den Tisch serviert mit Wurst und Käse vom Tante Emma Laden und nicht aus der Packung will ich meinen. Schade, dass wir nur auf der Durchreise waren, um eine Nacht zu bleiben. Wir würden wiederkommen!

Reviewed By Thomas WWir waren mit Freunden hier zu Gast und konnten die hervorragende Küche geniessen. Fleisch aus eigener Metzgerei, sehr leckere Braten und Schnitzel. Die Bratkartoffeln sind einfach klasse. Dazu das leckere „Bernecker Bier“, süffig, würzig. Ein Muss für jeden Gast. Die Seniorwirtin ist ein Original, lustig und frech, so muss eine Wirtin sein. Wir hatten viel Spass in den Gesprächen mit Ihr. Personal sehr höflich und hilfsbereit, auch Sonderwünsche wurden gerne und ohne Diskussion sofort erledigt.
