Gorgeous Place

We stayed there for my niece's wedding last weekend (7/10/16). The most beautiful venue for an outdoor wedding I have ever been. Gorgeous surroundings. Comfortable rooms. Extremely friendly owners and staff. Loved breakfast. Very quite at night. Not far from downtown (3 Km). Highly recommend it. Looking forward to come back to Petrópolis and stay there again.

Best experience in a farm hotel ever!

Reviewed By smurlu

If you want to have an authentic farm experience, yet don’t want to give up the comforts of a fine hotel, this is the place to visit. Simple but amazingly clean rooms, refurbished as well, I didn’t find one single bug inside! The food - outstanding! Simple too, but traditional and home made. Not to mention the horses - I have never seen such well treated animals!!! And - last but not least - the BEST TEAM EVER!!! From the reception to the guys who lead the horse riding moments, all the employees are kind, fun and have our well being as the main goal at all times! I felt home! And I will definitely go back!

Farm hotel. Place to love

Reviewed By Walter D

Unforgettable days spent there. Stunning landscape, nice "goiana" food, nice bar, nice staff and management people. Place to see stars (even falling stars and some others I can't determine it's meaning), to get a romantic atmosphere, to hear and count tales around the fire. Ask for the owner (I can't recall her name) to know the whole history of the place, and a lot of what have been going there over the years.

Riding in Clouds

Reviewed By Maria E

Traveling isn’t always such a rewarding experience. Staying at Hacienda Alegria is. Patty and Gabriel are such perfect hosts. One feels so totally at ease at this tranquil and elegant Hacienda . The friendly but unpretentious atmosphere captures one immediately. We decided to choose La Alegria to join Gabriel to a two day ride through the Cloud Forest. The first day you ride out to the premises around the Hacienda to pep up your ride abilities and of course to test if the horse and the saddle you are using are the right ones. In the afternoon you are asked to join to get to know the Hacienda, so you watch the cow milking process, you visit the mares and their ponies and you enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Food at La Alegria is delicious and Patty makes sure to look out for all your dietary requirements. The riding adventure started the next day. It was a real extraordinary experience. Gabriel and his wonderful team, including the patient and wonderful horses took us through a route where we could enjoy the espectacular scenery that started at 2800 mts over the mountains to a 3500 mts pass and then slowly descended to a totally different biosphere where giant farms, luscious plants and trees and thousands of orchids. Because humidity is high you are surrounded by a misty light fog that makes you feel like riding on clouds. This was a very special ride!

Villa Triacca Eco Pousada e Vinhos

Villa Triacca Eco Pousada e Vinhos is an exclusive inn of the Roteiros de Charme Hotels Association, which aims to connect Italian descent and winemaking with regionality and sustainability. With a cuisine inspired by its ancestors, it has a menu with Italian essence and appreciation of local products. Pioneer in hosting the PAD-DF since 20, it has 23 specialists, in the lakes region, with an exclusive view for guests with heated pool, pedal boats. The experience is even more special with the 5 hectares of vineyard with red varieties Syrah, Marcelan, Tempranillo, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese, Grenache, and white Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. There is a weekly vineyard tour with fine winter wines or winter and altitude wine labels and also offers an experience with winter and altitude wine choices. Seu Claudino, the first fine red wine from Brasilia, and the rosé Dona Irani, both Syrah, are the property's labels in honor of the parents of owner Ronaldo Triacca. In addition to accommodation, the hotel's restaurant and vineyard experience are available to the public upon reservation.

If you can afford it, you must go!

I just noticed that this is already #1 of almost 300 "specialized hotels in Brasília", so I guess I'm just contributing to maintain it in the lead. Hard not to make positive comments all around. Is it a perfect place? No, I will point a few details that stood out a bit negatively, but overall, it's outstanding. But as I wrote in my title - this is not some cheap B&B - it's an exclusive place, 23 rooms only, almost 1 employee per guest, depending on how many rooms are occupied (there are 50 employees). And I do recommend, if you can wait a bit, go in August 2022 and after, as they are finishing a special building in their vineyard which will be a wine cellar and a restaurant serving exquisite meats with their own wines. Where to start? Well, I don't quite recall the original contact, but soon we were interacting with reservations by WhatsApp and e-mail and we paid in 2 installments in November and December 2021 to stay in January 2022. 3 adults, R$ 2200 only including breakfast. At checkout, another R$ 1.500 for all the snacks and meals we had there, as it's far from any other commerce, so a stay there is to park the car when you arrive and then drive off when you check out. We requested the quietest mezzanine room - not a separate chalet, but a set of 6 joined little chalets, with a downstairs for the couple, and an upstairs which my 19 year old daughter made her territory - and there was a bed for another sibling or friend. And it was so quiet - room 21, the furthest from the lobby and restaurant building. The acoustics are perfect. The room is comfy - the lighting could be a bit stronger, as could the shower, but it's all very sustainable, so we understand not to expect urban intensity. The hammock on the outside with a view to the smaller and larger lagoons was peace - getting up at around 6 am it was amazing to listen to the symphony of birds. The breakfast is absolutely one of the best I've had in quite a while, though I must say, the pão de queijo was a bit disappointing... all local produce though and made-to-order eggs, grilled cheese, sausages. The restaurant's food is top-notch, but it is made up of portions like "nouvelle cuisine" - so we were a bit taken aback at our 1st dinner, as the prices made us think there'd be a bit more on our plates. However, the risottos, broths, pasta and meats we had there during 3 meals were outstanding. We had snacks by the pool side - really not anything special, especially compared to the quality of the restaurant's food, but still above average. The pool itself is really rather simple and there is ultimately very little to do - except disconnect from day to day urban life (I did have to work a bit - high speed wi-fi). One can actually swim in one of the lagoons with a lot of fish, but the water is a bit murky and if one wants to float, not sure they'll enjoy getting small fish bites - they leave no mark, but it's a strange feeling. There are also free pedal-swans, but we didn't really notice many people using it - I particularly don't enjoy that exercise on my day off. One of the highlights was the morning nature-walk that ends in a wine tasting and recounting of the history how this became the 1st vineyard in our region. Their rosé for tasting really is surprisingly tasty - syrah-based. However, we didn't get any wine to go - we usually spend about 1/3 of the price they were asking for other sufficiently good wines. The service standards are tops all around - everyone really friendly and ready to explain. It's clear that they are imbued in the Triacca team spirit. At checkout there was a mistake on my bill of R$ 500 - some items were charged twice and 2 not-so-cheap items were sent to our room, not sure if by mistake or by malice by other guests. Maybe the staff didn't compare signatures. Room for improvement, but the receptionist was profusely sorry and even embarrassed by what happened .
