Modern and cosy apartment hotel

Reviewed By JMicor

The apartment was beautify, modern and cosy. The location was very nice, walking distance to the city centre and located right next to a beautiful park. My only negative comment is that the flat we rented was on the 4th floor with no elevator, so we had to carry the luggage all the way up, plus our dog as well, and me having a bad back it was too much for me! It should have been written clearly when we booked the flat that it was on the 4rh floor we no elevator! Also, the Internet did work, we called the reception who said they would look into it, but it didn't work the remaining of our stay.

Finding addresses in this city is not the easiest for people who are not Polish or German but once you translate this street name into English as Pope John Paul the Second, it seems to be a little easier. The address itself is for the restaurant where breakfast is also served in the morning. You are checked in and give a room number in the building and ours was on an upper floor, no elevators. Good, clean room though with TV, internet and even air conditioning which is not common for this area. Nice proximity to lots of walkable attractions and parking available in a secured area for only a couple of Euros extra. There were one or two little things that could have been better like a door that was not repaired, two missing pillows and the fact that the windows had to be closed to get some sleep due to loud neighbors on their balcony, but a very good alternative to hotels. Would say it really would be best for a couple of night stay where you could appreciate the full kitchen and expanded bath. Breakfast was great. Women at the desk in the restaurant were very helpful. Easy to get to all of the public transportation as the come to Centrum just a block away.

City Aparthotel Szczecin

Well maintained apartment in a central but quiet location

Reviewed By __Joh__Ye

We arrived five minutes early 11:55 from Copenhagen at SZZ (Goleniów Lotnisko), which was fine as the transfer we booked would leave 12:20. It had seemed very short connection time when I booked and paid our seats with Follow Me - Interglobus. I shouldn’t have worried because we brought only hand luggage and the plane parked close up to a small airport building. We just walked into the building and in the end we found the waiting taxi bus 12:10. The transfer took us to Szczecin Central train station and the bus stop for Follow Me and Flixbus along the street ul. Kolumna. We just had to back track 300m to find the main entrance to the train station and the stops for both trams and local buses. I cannot tell you how to get tickets to trams and local buses as we could travel for free with our ID as both of us were over 70 years of age. We took tram 3 but realised later that we would have come closer to the hotel by taking three stops in bus 75 to Plac Zwyciestwa. (There is a church across the street where you get off and the bus stop for the return journey with bus 75 to the central station is on the other side of the church by the petrol station. The last stop is by the central station entrance but get out straight away before the bus starts picking up passengers for the journey back. ) Walk in the direction of the disappearing bus, pass two side streets and walk slightly right into the third street aleja Wojska Polskiego. Look for the triangular planting separating the different directions of the street. Walk up to the pedestrian crossing, and cross over and turn right and you should by Café Koch, walk on and turn left into a short alley and City Aparthotel reception is right in front of you. (Beware the little alley won’t appear on most smart phones as it isn’t a proper street and the phone might take you a round about way to the hotel.) City Aparthotel asks for a deposit of 30% when you make the booking. When arriving we paid the rest and added breakfast to the sum. The reception is open 8:00 – 20:00 hours. The hotel does not have its own breakfast room so breakfast is served 7:30-11:00 in Café Koch a hundred meters away. Breakfast is quite substancial with coffe, tea, juice, milk, cornflakes, fresh fruit, fruit shots, cucumber, tomatoes, peppers, ham, chorizo, sliced bread, breakfast buns, cheese, cottage cheese, egg halves and more. The hot stuff is scrambled eggs and sausages. My sister and I had booked an apartment with two bedrooms and a living room. We were really pleased when we entered the combined hallway and kitchenette. It was very well kept, looked new and the location kept traffic noice away. The bathroom with shower was of a good size. The provided fan was in good use during the hot days when we stayed there. The free Wi-Fi with a proper password and not open to the neighbourhood worked wonders. The entrance to the building has no steps and there is a lift serving all floors. I ckecked in our flight back home but when my e-mail with the boardingcards to the reception wouldn’t come through (due to, I learnt later, a faught of my internet provider) the man in the reception suggested I could use his computer. I do recommend City Aparthotel for good service, good location and good value for your money.

It's located a bit out of the centre. About a 30 minute walk. But the Apartment is great. Except the TV, only polish channels. Wish they had options with at least English subtitles. Other than that. Super satisfied.

Good accomodation but lots of steps

Reviewed By greggthebuilder1

Great apartment but downside was 49 stairs to climb and as we are both in our 60's not that much fun with two big suitcases. It might be worth pointing that out in the information. Otherwise apart from there being no knives to butter ones toast the apartment was clean, comfortable and airy. It was also nice and quiet and well placed for the old town and a short tram ride and walk from the railway station. We would come again but with less luggage.

This apartment is located centrally in Szczecin city. Only 5 min walk to Galleria shopping complex and 15min to the bigger Galaxy shopping complex that houses Auchan supermarket. Around the corner in are numerous quality restaurants and bars. The apartment is very clean and comfortable and is equipped with basic cooking equipment, TV and good speed WiFi. The owners are very easy to deal with and very obliging. We stayed here for 18 nights and were more than happy with the apartment overall and it’s location. Recommended.

Huge dissapointment

Reviewed By Ann K

We booked this apartment because of the reviews. Location really good - plenty of small shops (kind a bazaar), restaurants (McDonalds as well), petrol station, supermarket, chemist etc. But the apartment - huge disappointment. Tiny bedrooms, with really uncomfortably beds - linen left for us to do ...... No coffee machine or even iron, which was in description. Smelly bathroom, no light in one bedroom -everything suppose to be done - 3 days there - no one came. Etc, etc... That was October 2015. Hope something change.
