Cold Comfort

Reviewed By jenny s

We stayed in one of the cottages at this holiday park recently. We also stayed in it in 1994 when our children were young and apart from the mobile furniture and carpet in the main bedroom, nothing had changed in 28 years and that includes the plumbing. While it was a week before the snow fell, it was still very cold in Beechworth at night and in the morning and this cabin had no facility for keeping travellers warm. Even when we ran the air-conditioner all night the cabin never warmed up and the heater in the bedroom was decorative only. The cottage has no insulation, the cheapest and shabbiness blinds and curtains that achieve nothing, an old and unreliable shower and a bathroom with all the original fittings. We didn't get a hand towel or even a cake of soap which I found interesting in a pandemic. We had to be in Beechworth that weekend so had no other choice but to stay here. There is another caravan park in Beechworth which looked much better maintained and modern so if you have a choice go there. This cabin is bordering on unlettable and represented very bad value for money based on what we paid elsewhere for a much better standard.

Mansfield Holiday Park

Nice but average

Reviewed By 571DavidB571

This park is pleasant. The staff are a delight but the park is average. The sites are well grassed and generous in size. There is a kids play ground and a pirate ship. There is also room for game of cricket if you wish. A pond is on the edge with water birds and horses. The pool is on the small size but fun. It is quite deep. The amenities are showing their age.

We have travelled across Australia for many years and right on our doorstep we discover this gem of a caravan park. Located in a beautiful historic town of Euroa and centrally located for easy walking to most locations. We were there on a wet winter time of year but our spirits were not dampened the wood fires and friendly staff brightened the days. The reviews speak for themselves and definitely will return.

Beautiful location

Reviewed By FarAway398731

We enjoyed our stay on a powered site close by the river. It was a peaceful and relaxing stay. We had a large site for our large caravan and F250. The Park is pet friendly. Dogs must be on a leash at all times, and there are doggies bags and bins well placed throughout the park. Toilet and shower blocks were clean but could do with an update. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Only a few minutes drive to Alexandra for all your shopping needs.

A couple of nights NRMA Caravan Park Bright Vic

Reviewed By partlygreynomad2

Have read all the negative reviews and honestly found the park to be not too bad. Is probably in need of a bit of updating, is a bit expensive and sites are a gravel base but probably understandable with the dry weather. Ammenities blocks were OK, showers were hot and there are plenty of them cleanliness needs a little attention. Camp kitchen needs a good clean and maybe a bit more attention on cooking items etc. Overall the park is quiet with extensive large trees a good pool. Has a feeling of big plans in the near future..
