Reviewed By ilazar396727Everything else was excellent except the shower did not have a shower curtain, it is a complete turnoff, and for that I have given the Poetry Guesthouse an overall average service rating. The accommodation is located conveniently within a short distance of shops and eateries. The establishment management is very friendly and helpful. The direct contact number provided online was immediately and always reachable for any enquiries. Reliable telephonic contact with accommodation establishments is essential and the Poetry Guesthouse was amazing in this regard

Reviewed By jurie835Booked in on 09th October 2018 , the receptionist was absolutely amazing and very helpful . The room was huge and clean . The room had aircon and a huge HD Television with more than enough DStv channels to choose from. Breakfast was a huge disappointment taking into consideration the charge per night. They had some serials and yoghurt but the milk was cold and as such I didn't eat any cereals . It appeared that they had only one staff member on duty to clean tables. When I got into the breakfast area it looked chaotic with all the tables with used plates , mugs and cutlery. Apart from the cereals the establishment also offered the following - scramble eggs, bits of fried bacon , tasty fish cakes and slices of tomato . This was a huge disappointment. Through my experience it is clear that the owner shows no interest in what is happening at the establishment . Great place to sleep but the effort made regarding breakfast will make me think twice to re-visit . Also disappointing that no fresh fruits are available after breakfast .

We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as self-catering options for those who want to cook their own yummy things. There are pools, DSTV and WiFi, and even a bar where you can enjoy the gorgeous sunsets in Vryburg. We are so near the Kalahari that you will get the real African Experiece that you are looking for.

Electricity and water close by as well as two ablutions, single units consisting of shower, toilet and washbasin, well equipped. We were two families, so we have chosen one each. When I arrive back from the overpriced meal( fish and chips @R150, very average quality) in the on site restaurant, a lady from the chalet accommodation was in our ablution behind locked doors and said she had the right to use it. I have called management who was also shocked about this, and said to the lady she is not allowed to use it. They will sanitise it immediately. But thats not the issue…..Control should be institutes about guests using these units in the caravan park and locks should be fitted. But why should campers always get the wrong end of the stick and at the price of R300 pppn?

It offers free unlimited WiFi which makes it easier to send and receive emails. The place is good for a small group therefore peace of mind prevails. The host has good customer service, open to guests advice. I can also highly recommend it for a couples retreat as there is an element of closeness and tenderness.
