Reviewed By QuelianRohat Hotel is a small hotel - perhaps bigger than it feels - in the centre of Dushanbe. The main attractions are easily walkable. The hotel is very clean and feels new. The rooms are comfortable - although my twin room was a little on the small side. The breakfast buffet is very good and happens in a wonderful spacious room with a mixture of tables and easy chairs. The staff are very helpful with advice, directions, and ordering transport. There is a pleasant area to sit downstairs and drink tea, and plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. On the other hand, Rohat Hotel is quite expensive by Central Asian standards - and the single lift is both small and slow.

Good Choice
Reviewed By John AOur last stop in Tajikistan was very pleasant. Hotel is well situated and quite modern. English speaking staff was very helpful. Rooms are on second floor accessible only by stairs. Restaurant staff could use some training. Pre-ordered dinner arrived all at once from soup to desert. That said, the ice creace was excellent.

Reviewed By BetsyPlattRooms are large but threadbare, bed not particularly comfortable. It’s a good location. Cash-only, but the ATM never seems to have cash in it, requiring a hike to the ATM several blocks away on Ayni Avenue. WIFI is spotty.

Несмотря на то, что я прилетел довольно таки поздно - персонал отеля встретил меня с чашечкой чая и восточными сладостями. Очень внимательное и не навязчивое отношение. Менеджер отеля лично устроил мне пешую экскурсию по городу и рассказал о Таджикистане достаточно интересные факты. Абсолютно все тут дышит заботой и отзывчивостью. Одним словом МОЛОДЦЫ!!! Буду приезжать к Вам снова и снова!!!

Reviewed By JustLoveToFlyThe surrounding of the homestay is stunning and is great for a stroll. It is also pretty close to a village where one can see the village life. The room is spacious and clean. The bathroom is shared. Food is nice and the host is friendly.

Reviewed By Carol A SThe Parinen Inn is about 1 km from the center of Khorog on Lenin Street on the way to the airport. The guesthouse is set in a beautiful garden/orchard on the north bank of the Gunt River. I stayed two nights with a group of 14. The owners were friendly, accommodating, and spoke good English (much better than my bumbling Tajik). There are two floors, each with 5 rooms, a toilet and a shower. My large room was on the second floor, overlooking the garden. It had one double bed, a wardrobe and a chair. The shared toilet, sink and shower was clean, and there was lots of hot water. Wifi was available in my room, allowing me to catch up on e-mail (somewhat limited bandwidth). The hotel had a laundry service, and clean clothes were returned the next day for a modest fee. A drying rack in the garden allowed me to dry out some damp items. Although the hotel is close to Lenin Street (a main street), it was quiet at night. I could walk to nearby shops, parks and the bazaar. Breakfast was served on the first floor, with a variety of dried fruits, nuts, pastries, cookies, bread, and eggs. After spending a week of homestays along the Pamir Highway, having individual rooms, western-style plumbing, showers with hot water, and beds with legs felt like luxury!

Very good for a rural town
Reviewed By Sakari KThe room was very nice, spacious and well equipped. The aircon worked well as a heater, and there was plenty of hot water for a bath. It was very nice and quiet. The only real minus was the breakfast which was really nothing to write home about: two very oily fried eggs, bread from yesterday (no butter), and one cup of instant coffee (maybe they would have given another cup had I asked for it, but there was nobody to ask from). Oh, and two sausages which were not to my taste so I didn't eat those (pity, because there are good sausages as well available in Tajikistan). Nevertheless, very good value for money, in my opinjon.

Reviewed By Paul KWe arrived at 5 am from an overnight flight. They put us right into our room with a smile. Rooms remind me of an old chateau--high ceiling and spacey with private bath. It is very clean and the cement walls absorb any sound. AC worked very well, which was nice. We had to buy our own drinking water. Breakfast was like a private meal: eggs to order, breads and home-made jams and jellies, coffee or tea. this is a nice friendly and safe place to stay, about two blocks off the heavy traffic area and convenient if you want to catch a city bus or taxi. Just one block from a USAID project center.Their staff meets the Tajic expectation for hospitality.

Reviewed By btw2017I found this place very spacious, clean and friendly with a generous breakfast. It is near most restaurants and central enough for supermarkets and bus stations, banks and other amenities. The manager and other staff are very courteous and friendly. I will definitely return. It is in a side street, hidden away from the main road, which may not be everyone's cup of tea.

worst value for money in my entire travel life (130 countries) . TERRIBLE
Reviewed By bvdbiltI would call it a typical sovjet style shack. Badly built and non-maintained. Rundown, dirty and ovarall appalling rooms. Too terrible for words, Terrible bed, carpet in the bathroom. Toilet had no seat (!) and had to ask for it. Stinky towels, no toiletries supplied. And that for 40 USD ! Total rip-off. 5 USD would have been a reasonable price . Food is mediocre and cold. Only warm water in the morning and evening. Shower fell from the wall when taking a shower. Non-existing wifi. Stay away from this place
