Reviewed By fishman620We stayed at the Pousada Villa Guimaraes for one night while on tour with Gaspare Tours. Igor had booked us a room with a balcony on the second floor, which was very nice. We enjoyed their pool and included breakfast.

Reviewed By Beatli DUnfortunately we only stayed 2days. It was the last stop of our 9 day Pantanal tour and it was most pleasant! The room with high ceiling was of good size, the bathroom functional. Everything was clean! The food was good. The best were the animals we saw - from Tapir (s) and rabbits during the night safari to blue aras nesting, caymans, agoutis, tarantula, frogs (in the toilet !) and different sort of iguanas and birds - just great! The Service was good and friendly! We would have stayed longer if we had more time!

Very Good Place to Stay
Reviewed By Richard AI really liked the Riviera Pantanal Hotel. The staff, especially Allex, were very friendly and helpful. The food was pretty good, and the rooms were clean and tidy. The location is close to the centre of Cáceres, with everything accessible by foot. The only way it could be improved would be install mosquito nets, or at least some hooks on the ceiling from which we could have hanged ours. We would certainly stay there again!

Talvez pela baixa estação, mas pelo preço injustificável. Pareceu que estava em uma cidade fantasma. Não se hospede aqui se for durante a semana ou na baixa estação. Os espaços da pousada são muito bons, mas ninguém serve algo, não há opção de lanche, almoço, jantar ou drinks. Os funcionários não sabem qualquer informação útil de passeios, inclusive os básicos, embora sejam simpáticos quando são encontrados. Os mesmos ficam deitados nos sofás relaxando o que ressalta ainda mais a falta de uma gerência que lhes instrua no serviço. I was traveling by myself throughout Mato Grosso, and coming from Pantanal had a chance to stay a couple nights at the Chapada dos Guimarães. I chose this pousada through bookings and relied on property photos. There is one with a glass of wine by a fireplace which had a huge influence in my decision. What a scam... I arrived just before 2pm (check-in is at 3pm) hungry and thirsty planning to have a glass of Chardonnay while I could wait for a snack or somente to eat. For my surprise: no food is available besides breakfast, no wine or drinks because the bar was closed during the day, and should open at 6pm. I relaxed and went to town to have a bite hoping to have a drink at the fireplace latter that evening. However, the employees that handle the kitchen and bar had a personal issue and never showed up. I had dinner at a pizza place in town which was great but will definitely nit come back to this pousada, especially during weekdays or low season. Some specifics: - the facilities and structure are really good. - the room is quite nice with brand new furniture - service is very poor and there is no management - none at the pousada could recommend a place to eat out or had accurate information about sightseeing or tours

Before arriving they told us which bus to take from Cuiaba which was very helpful. Wie came here to float in the nearby rivers.

Breakfast was good, with a choice of freshly cooked eggs, cheeses, ham and fruits. You could even have their home made cachaça if you liked!! I had a shot on arrival! Gi and Marcio are super friendly and informative about the area. There’s parking available onsite and on the quiet street outside. We enjoyed staying here on our visit to Chapada.

The most expensive around the airport
Reviewed By Doug KThis hotel is the most expensive one near the airport (a 4 minute walk away). While it is clean and safe, it may be overpriced for the rooms are small. They include a single chair, desk, small refrigerator, TV and not much else. There is a shuttle to the airport. WiFi is very good. The most remarkable aspect of the hotel is their complementary breakfast which surpasses that offered by most restaurants.
