The Best Place to Stay in Greenport

Reviewed By HoniDijon

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway from Brooklyn at The Stirling House - where we found exceptionally clean, comfortable amenities (in the Shelter Island Room) with lovely views of Peconic Bay within walking distance of Greenport Village and the North Ferry to Shelter Island. The real gem is Clay - the host with the most, who warmly greeted us with extraordinary baked goods and Prosecco! We really enjoyed Clay’s breakfast on the porch - and his great vibes. We cannot wait to return! Also - very happy with Clay’s COVID-safe practices :)

Lovely Home and Grounds

Home was lovely and immaculate. The food was plentiful and delicious and served in a room overlooking the gardens which I am sure are stunning. I stayed in December and flowers were past bloom. All COVID-19 precautions were taken. I'm looking forward to when they can be lifted. I particularly liked the easy access to both the Sound and inlets. In-ground swimming pool had recently been installed.

Convenient Location in Greenport

Reviewed By Sandyw248

The Gallery Hotel is right on Main Street in the beautiful harbor front town of Greenort- a convenient spot amidst shops, restaurants and waterfront activities. This boutique hotel has a beautiful interior, with Art Deco style decor, small cozy guest rooms, comfy beds and beautiful art work. The exterior of the hotel is shabby and tired. The courtyard provided a nice spot to have a glass of wine with a charcuterie board, with tables, chairs snd lounge chairs. The staff was outstanding and very accommodating.

A Chic Boutique Hotel Located in the Heart of the North Fork

Would be ok for $150/night but not for $300

Reviewed By Divasongs

It's a motel. Clean ~ but a motel. For $300/night it's a joke. We were out for a party in Cutchogue and this was the only place we could find that let us stay for one night and wasn't over $600. The bed was comfortable but the air conditioner sounded like a plane was landing every time it switched on. You could hear traffic whizzing by all night when the A/C shut off and there were plumbing noises periodically throughout the night. Needless to say I didn't sleep very well. The reviews mentioned breakfast in the morning but all it was, was a thermos of coffee and some doughnuts in the little office. We had a nice breakfast at the Cutchogue Diner. The area is lovely and we'd love to come and spend more time but I would definitely research airbnbs because the hotel situation seems like a bit of a rip-off.

Cute Hotel... Pricey for the experience

I decided to take my husband away for the night for his 40th birthday. I was so excited to stay here as the photos on the website made the rooms look super luxe and clean. The stay was nice and there were high points. Let me begin by saying the room was simple but the furnishings were nice. The room was comfortable. The toiletries were so nice that I didn't have to unpack mine. The ladies who worked at the front desk were super nice. One of our favorite parts was the picnic breakfast they leave at your door in the morning. Now for the not so great. The curtains covering the windows were clearly missing as well as some wall hangings as was evident from the hooks still hanging in the wall. Our room was also above the bar which played very loud music until late at night. The most disappointing part was the shower though, it not only took forever to get barely hot enough to shower, it was also filthy, there was mold lining all the silicone surrounding the shower and truly made me question if the rest of the place had even been cleaned. Paying $400 a night for a hotel I SHOULD not feel grossed out in the shower.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at Harbor Knoll B and B. Our host, Leueen was most accommodating, We spent a lot of time engaging in very interesting conversation with her! The inn itself was a beautiful building, the room was very comfortable, breakfast was delicious (especially the french toast), the grounds and view were spectacular. Sitting outside early in the morning and afternoon was relaxing while enjoying wine and the water view. The location was excellent, the walk to town is 5 min. We do not hesitate to recommend Harbor Knoll to anyone who is visiting Greenport.
