Reviewed By T9788NHmonicacTo get away from all the madness in Bucharest, we went for a romantic escapade in the Danube Delta, which I was seeing for the first time.We had booked our journey 1 month in advance, and Pike Inn was the only one to have 1 available room for 3 nights. Although the weather has been horrible this entire month, we left the capital and arrived at Park Inn on an incredibly sunny after-noon.I was immediately fascinated by the beauty of the scenery and by the promptitude of the staff in welcoming and accomodating us. Then we sat on the terrace and had lunch served by a very friendly and efficient young lady.Although we are not great eaters and the meal portions were huge, we had some great fish soup and then we went to the swimming pool to sunbathe.The water in the swimming pool had not been cleaned, but luckily it was rather cold outside, so we wouldn't have used it anyway. Rooms are very clean and provide everything one may need (including anti-mosquito devices), the only unpleasant thing being the single beds that we needed to unite. For the next meal period, the waitress asks clients in advance, so they can offer fresh food. Desert is on the house and is great. Pike Inn is a great place to socialise (with other clients, if you are that type), otherwise, you can rest (there is an amazing quietness troubled only by the cookoos song), swim, lay in the sun, have a steamy sauna session or enjoy a boat trip to visit the amazing Delta channels.Our boat guide, Liviu, was a simple and very kind young man, who fascinated us with the precision of his knowing all channels and with his life stories.The ladies from the kitchen are very kind, always smiling and offering good advice on the choice of food: dishes are very tasty, fresh and juicy, based on fish or on other meat type (according to clients'preference).The only thing that I didn't appreciate was breakfast, because: on Tuesday it was a very rich one, on Wednesday there was no more cheddar, fish eggs,butter and onion and on Thursday, there was butter, but no more salads (the diversity of dishes had been gradually reduced). We had a wonderfull time at Pike Inn and we gladly reccommend it to future guests.And, if time allows it, we will happily return to this beautiful and guest-friendly location!

Reviewed By jugarugabi1. Rooms not clean at all. The dust isn't wiped at all in the room. The balcony has ants that are managing to get into the room, all the way to the bed. 2. Food: not bad, not good. The single food suitable for little kids (2-3 years old) is the chicken breast but we can't tell for sure if it was fresh or expired, since the waiters kept telling us the fish oriented dishes. We haven't stayed even one night there, despite we reserved a room for 2 nights. This place is a no-go.

A piece of heaven
Reviewed By Gabriela ASuch a quiet place with awesome staff and delicious local dishes. The property is quite big: rooms & cottages, pool, spring boards, swings, ping pong table, hammocks, and a pontoon where you can go fishing (in the morning/ afternoon ;) ) with a cheap fishing rod from the market nearby and some crumb with water. It just become our favourite spot in this area of the map. Even if it will rain, it will be a short one. A big plus is for the pool. It has 1,40m and is well cleaned every day and of course, the water is filtered all the time. Another plus is for the concert you hear all the time: the cuckoo's, the blackbird's, the nightingale's and in the evening, the frogs'. Pretty romantic. They have a long rope to dry towels/bathing suits in the sun. The parking slots are inside the yard. You can use the barbeque and the kitchen. The staff is friendly and helpful. For example, we needed a mop at our bathroom because we are pretty splashy when showering so we just asked politely and we got our new mop with a bucket during our staying. The main character of the family is Puffy - a tiny snow-white-playful-fluffy-cotton dog - the sweetest thing ever! Just don't upset it - will steal something dear to you and run away. :)) You can barbeque/ cook or just ask in advance the stuff to cook local dishes for lunch/& dinner. They will not serve you leftovers from yesterday. Also the fish is fresh and incredibly delicious cooked in any manner (especially the fried catfish). You'll even get a simple but tasty desert on the house. The property is well taken care of all the time (the willows have same lenght, the grass is dense and cut, the pool always clean, the gardens have nice flowers and lights etc.). We enjoyed the trip in the Danube's Delta with a very nice boat and a guide. Just don't forget your longsleeve/ softshell, hat, sun lotion and most of all, the sunglasses - the sun hides the delta's little treasures. And of course, your camera/phone for some nice memories. I call it "the beautiful one" because has the outer beautifully painted. We will definitely come back!

Chilled, peaceful, lovely setup, and excellent food

The place is peaceful and relaxing, the tables under the trees in the garden are comfortable and the quality of service and food was excellent. The staff helped organise our trips and activities and was very helpful with all our asks. Carp ‘plachie’ is amazing :)

Reviewed By CostinpetromiI’ve planned one short visit to Danube Delta during my Romania visit and I found this location via Booking com were the location has good reviews. In reality the location is a perfect place to screw up your journey. I can’t mention any positive fact about this journey. First of all I ve called for booking to check the availability and the admin replied to me to don’t book via Booking com and set the booking by phone, which I’ve accepted. At arrival he was confused and we were at few hours to remain without the booking ( which was a good think - but realised latter). Finally he found one room ( different than originally booked-low quality), and he asked for full payment at arrival. We went to the room and we’ve found one extensible tent bed as third place in the room for my daughter 12 years old. In the booking policy the location treat the third person in the room above 12 years old as adult for payment?. After I’ve claimed that the bed is not suitable to sleep on, the staff pretended to look for another bed , but finally they set one plastic subbed from the pool with one twin mattress as a third bed ( where my daughter slept for 3 nights). Far away than our matrimonial bed to be better. The mattress ( sponge one) was to damaged by time and when you laid down the feeling was that you laid down above one hole. The bed shield was never changed during our 3 nights staying or even the beds arranged. The room was not cleaned at all and the bathroom was a nightmare. The shower cabin surge connection was damaged and after first shower the bathroom was flooded with water. The small bath carpet was fully wet. After each shower the water in the bathroom required to be pushed to the drainage hole. The offered shampoo dozes were almost impossible to be open up ( very low quality packages and contain also). Only daily support for the cleaning staff was to change the towels. The breakfast was simplistic and always could ( even the food which supposed to be warm was could). The offered food “a la carte” from menu list was not very attractive and most of the traditional fish dishes were far to be be as good as suppose to be. For boat trips the admin asked as to pay a higher rate than was mentioned in the location offer: for 3 hrs trip ( which in reality is no more than 2:15 ) in the location book the price per pers was 60 Ron but the admin asked 75 ron. In add the location did not have to offer some basic fishing tools for non professional fishing ( to offer some fun to the visitors). There are better places in the area to accommodate and be care that the location is very well rated by the admin friends and his network.

Casa Chitu è una specie di pensione con stanze umide e poco areate, che non ci sono mai state pulite nella settimana di vacanza. Non è stata una nella esperienza. Bagni vecchi e con pochissima luce. L'unica cosa positiva era il prezzo davvero basso. Il titolare non parla inglese, solo la moglie, che è stata davvero gentile con noi.

The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. they were very helpful. They facilitated a boat ride in the Danube Delta Reserve. I recommend!

Reviewed By voican2018Once you left the car in the parking of Hidroturism Egreta, you get transfered to the resort by fast boat in 15-20 minutes. It is located near Cormoran Resort, 500 m inside the Channel. Nice finished large rooms, pleasant decoration, modern bathrooms. Good food, mostly but not exclusively fish. Very clean. The grass is frequently cut and you have also tennis table.

Reviewed By ttlucianHas a nice swimming pool and good location. Biggest problem was the AC. They have mobile aircons that are completely useless and make a lot of noise. The bathroom has no ventilation whatsoever so all the smell goes in the room. The restaurant is nice but they provide very limited options and, on top of that, outside food and drinks are not allowed on the premises. It's lights out at 10 PM (literally). Considering all of this, it's far too expensive. Definitely not 4 stars!
