A Beautiful Hotel
Reviewed By Yolanda BA new hotel located on the main square of Kalamata, a few feet parallel is the Cafe Restaurant Bistroteca "excellent place" for food and drink. I been to Art Hotel on several occasions and tried almost all there rooms which vary from large spacious rooms to small efficient clean and well designed rooms. The manager is very sweet and professional, the rooms are well designed, clean, and of artistic expression. For the price it's above standards! Location is superb and you can't find a better place for the price, service, clean & beautiful rooms, and views. I will certainly be back again! ♡♡♡

Nice beach location but not in great condition
Reviewed By mezacoSo first the good parts: It's right across from the beach and the man running it is a nice friendly guy. But to be honest, it's dated, old and not the cleanest. The entire hotel smelled of cigarette smoke. The door handle on my room was literally falling off. The rooms are a decent size, with balconies, fridges and air con and the sheets and bathrooms were clean. But the hallway carpets were stained & dirty and the rug in the room didn't look cleaned in a long time. My balcony had an ashtray with cigarettes still in it. It's walking distance to the row of cafes and restaurants along the boardwalk but it's at the farther end of the beach, so is a longer walk to Kalamata town center. It was cheaper than the alternatives, so the value for money is fairly good and the beach location is nice. Those two points are enough to give this an average score instead of poor.

The Apollon apartments are built on the Messenian Gulf near Kalamata and offer unobstructed views of the seaside with its beautiful sunsets that vary in colours depending on the different seasons. From the verandas of the rooms and from the inside of the spacious apartments (38 m2) one can enjoy views to the seas and Taygetus mountain. Following the sunset the moon arises from above the mountain slopes. This calm and serene landscape offers tranquility and relaxation.

Reviewed By sofeewofeeThis was our first visit to Kalamata. We had a few rooms booked, as we were in town for a family wedding. The area of Avia is very tranquil, with a handful of tavernas and a mini market. The apartments are well equipped and have everything you need for your stay, and the sea views are stunning. There is also a private beach. Penelope and her staff are very friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely stay here again, though next time we will hire a car as a little way out.

Fantastic setting, fantastic accommodation
Reviewed By Channa RWe stayed two nights, 6 of us as two triples, grandparents and two grown up children. Beautifully finished stone built accommodation with wooden floors with lovely turquoise shutters. Rania the host was really helpful and gave us a lot of advice on places to visit. (Ancient Messene is a terrific site to visit) We cooked in the fully equipped kitchen. Nice modern bathrooms with soar powdered hot water. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms and stand fans downstairs. More solar panels may allow some a/c upstairs which would be an added bonus. Terrific views looking down onto a valley of olive trees. Highly recommended.

All rooms are spotless clean. Enjoy the plentiful breakfast on the terrace or a Glas of wine to see the moon over the bay.

Reviewed By tleftaki85We stayed just for one day. The location and the view of the hotel are excellent. The staff was also very friendly and ready to help us. The room was clean. Nevertheless, I wouldn't recommend this place. The hotel is extremely old without any renovation, probably since its opening! For one night it's ok but if you want to relax and have a value for money stay; then I recommend staying in another place.

Free Wi-Fi internet and parking, transportation to and from the airport with fee, pets are welcome. It is 55 km from Mystras, 44 km from Stoupa Mani, 80 km from the Caves of Dirou. The nearest airport is Kalamata airport, 12 km from Menina.
Excellent location with a great view of Kalamata
Reviewed By Natalie MIt's simply just great! The experience was completely unexpected. We had two people and booked a suite for one night. The view on the balcony is amazing. The facilities inside the apartment will meet all of your needs. Too bad we only got to stay for one night.

Beautiful and peaceful apartment near by Kalamata
Reviewed By Liisa HVery spacious and recently renovated apartment with lovely light colours. The heat pump worked really well, and with the end of June heat we really needed it. Apartment is located 5 km (of which up the hill around 3 km) away from Kalamata town and 4 km from the Kalamata beach. Quiet location, only cockcrow sounds woke us up. The lady organising the keys was easy to reach via email and she came on time to hand us the keys. The price was 50 euros per night, and there were two bedrooms with a double bed and two sofa beds in the living room.
