Reviewed By StuartMarbellaThis little hotel on a beautiful coral beach was so good we came back 3 times on our visit to this wonderful island.Dennis the manager and his staff were so happy nothing was too much trouble and just made our trip so special.We attended a business event at a large hotel which was great but lacked the feeling of being made welcome on a personal basis.Our trip was to visit other parts of the island but we came back to this little hotel every time where the chef asks you what you would like that day and he and his staff prepare it .Just a brilliant place for nice people!!!!

Reviewed By r9130Chant Au Vent has very good affordable rooms with a more than helpful host. I was not expecting much for the money but was pleasantly surprised. I'll go back. The check-in staff, Christiane is super nice and helpful. Perfect for a short stay. It’s a good location and size. Great value for money. Air-conditioning is a plus. Internet access wasnt available in room, one had to sat outside in the balcony. Over All it’s a safe place, the proprety is under Surveillance cameras. Good for family, couples And stay with friends.

Reviewed By barbaramariiiWe travelled to Mahébourg and stayed in ChillPILL hotel! We enjoyed our stay. The pool and its views are beautiful, and Nathalie (the owner) is lovely. Our original room smelled faintly of cigarette smoke. Luckily the staff were very accommodating and understanding in getting us a new room. Shout out to Karoonah for her great sense of humor and helpfulness--one of the best parts of ChillPILL is its small size and intimate atmosphere. The auberge is very well located. It is a few minutes away by foot from the chaos of downtown Mahébourg, but still within walking distance of the waterfront, bus stop, grocery store, restaurants, etc. If you are considering going to Mahébourg, DO IT. It is a completely different side of Mauritius compared to the tourist-inundated Northern part of the island. For a local experience, stop by Snack aux Aigrettes for breakfast or lunch, buy some tasty Mauritian sweets at the Monday market, take the bus (only 50 cents per person) to Blue Bay beach, and eat some boulettes!!

Reviewed By rdf24We stayed for 5 days and had occupied 2 double bedrooms and a family room. We were made to feel at home from the time we arrived by the host. She mentioned the rules of the house, do's & don'ts, timings etc. The breakfast was a good spread and had a different menu everyday. The pool although pretty small is good enough to relax. A short drive/walk will take you to the supermarket for anything else you may require. BTW, the family room is a 2 bedroom house having a refrigerator, washing machine, kitchen utensils so it came in handy.

We also provide cheap taxi service with comfortable cars at the airport and also at any places in Mauritius. Our driver will also guide you during your trip and they speak fluently in English and French.

On arrival, I got such a warm welcome from Mrs. Ritesh and later on Met Mr. Ritesh, the owner, a gentleman who has great hospitality with Positive friendly attitude, I was even invited for a drink that evening. Truly a wonderful experience! Ritesh is the star of the show - doing everything possible to make my stay the best ever. Room is pleasant, delightful food. Attention to detail and personalised service when in contact with him. The breakfast was lovely! It remind me of the breakfast I used to have when I visited my Uncle place on Sunday’s. This place is all about escaping from the stress of everyday life. It is a great place to relax and unwind! Will be going back this December! DS281120. Thank you so much Mr and Mrs. Ritesh!

Reviewed By hitaytIt is a perfect place. The Indian Ocean views are amazing from the terrace. Rooms are comfortable and so new looking. Wifi is fast. Blue Bay beach is not far. There are supermarkets and nice restaurants nearby. And quite affordable to stay here. Totally recommended!

Reviewed By Martin SI booked a double room in this hotel on Expedia. The booking was confirmed, the payment was carried out and one week later the hotel told me to cancel my booking on Expedia as they were expecting a large group. Not even an apology was offered. Stay away from them!

Right on Blue Bay Beach
Reviewed By Jocelyn SOur first floor room with terrace overlooking the Bay was perfect - wonderful view over the bay and island in front. Definitely the best room! Toilet and shower room just down the hall. The villa is very near the airport but there is no aircraft noise during the night. Walk down a short private path to the white sand beach - somewhat crowded when we were there as it was a Hindu festival weekend with large family gatherings. Shared kitchen, small refrigerator in our room - we ate in the first night on our terrace where we had an aperitif each evening - for the other nights we chose several of the nearby restaurants, some of which are within walking distance. Our hostess Manuela is charming and helpful and lives on-site - it seems possible to rent the entire villa if required (I think there are 5 bedrooms/4 bathrooms). A perfect place for a stay at Blue Bay and to use as a base for visiting other places - October seems an ideal month climate-wise.

An available common kitchen. We are situated in 100 m of the lagoon, in peace, ideal for the walks. The airport is in only 10 minutes without the nuisances..
A wonderful stay at Tibambari
Reviewed By Villy NEric, who owns the house is a very friendly and helpful person. We had rented a car at the airport and were missing just 400 m before we arrived, as we drove into a big hole in the road that was not visible for us immediately. We went over to Eric, who changed the deck for us. Unfortunately, it did not help. We had to have a new car, as Eric also helped us get a new one. The room and the adjacent common rooms were clean and homely and the breakfast is very good. The area is lovely and lies down to a park by a lagoon just hundred meters from Tibambari. Here are both good swimming and snorkeling opportunities. Thank you Eric for a lovely stay.
