The southwestern castle city of Cesky Krumlov is one of the Czech Republic’s finest medieval sites. Its Old Town is a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site, a maze of twisting alleys built around the extensive Cesky Krumlov castle. Saunter through crooked, cobblestone streets on foot and soak up the atmosphere of this impeccably preserved medieval gem. The gushing Vltava, popular with rafting enthusiasts, darts through the town.

Very bright rooms. Patio area out front to enjoy a coffee and pastry. Thanks to Hanah and Mira for helping out with a difficult situation. This place was absolutely perfect. Three of us stayed for a night and couldn’t have asked for more. A nice guy checked us in and gave us all the info we needed for our stay. Our room was authentic and spacious and comfortable and had a view of the castle. Breakfast was marvelous. Everything you want to see is within a five or ten minute walk at most. We generally stay at five star hotels(look at other reviews) and this place is a hidden gem.

Our romantic family pension is situated in the picturesque little square only 300 metres from the historical square of Český Krumlov. The historically valuable house was transformed into an accommodation facility with extra spacious and comfortable rooms. The family pension offers 2 luxury apartments and 3 rooms with total capacity of 10 beds and possibility of 2 stationary and 2 mobile additional beds. The house is fashionably furnished which makes provoking contrast with its ancient history. Apartments are equipped with modern kitchen including all accessories. LCD television sets, satellite TV, internet connection, minibar, and air conditioning in the attic rooms are matter-of-course. The apartment No. 1 and the room No. 4 are equipped with whirlpool baths. Sauna, free of charge available for guests in the apartment, is a part of the apartment No. 2 bathroom. Most of our windows offer unforgettable views of ancient town Český Krumlov, the chateau and St. Vitus church, which attract to endless walks along crooked streets and secret corners of this precious town.Breakfast is served in the eldest parts of the house, in medieval and renaissance cellar. The cellar also contains the private wine room held by the owners of the house, where guests can taste some samples according to up-to-date wine list. The house also has ornamental garden suitable for the rest after daylong cultural or sportive activities. Hundred years old apple tree will surely offer enough genial shade for all to relax in the tropical summer days. The guests, who are interested in gastronomy, can use their culinary skills in barbecue using the grill, which is available in the pension. Our guests can drive up directly to the house and park there free of charge. Bicycles can be saved in the hall or in the garden according to the personal convention. So welcome to our pension and fully enjoy unforgettable genius loci of Český Krumlov. Let the nostalgia of the good old days attract you. And if haply the nostalgia turns to sorrow, don´t forget to taste good Moravian wine, which exorcizes the sorrow and brings good temper. The towns with the bouquet of the south simply have the power and emotions belong to them.
This is a wonderful place to stay - a few minutes walk & you’re in the town center filled with shops, restaurants & beautiful sights! Blanka was a pleasure & provided tons of info. We stayed on the top floor (there are a lot of steps?) in #5 - the room was huge, provided incredible views from the opening windows, comfortable bed & very nice, modern bathroom! Breakfast was served in the cellar which added to the ambiance & it was delicious! Part of it was a buffet & the rest you ordered from the menu! We would stay here again!

We booked Penzion Gardena on the recommendation of a friend. The owners and staff are very, very friendly and really try to help you enjoy your stay. The rooms are beautiful with comfortable beds and lots of space. The location is also great - just on the edge of the oldest parts of the city. This is a huge advantage because you're still absolutely within walking distance (5 minutes max) to the centre of everything, but you avoid the hordes of group tours. A big plus.

The room was small but very reasonably priced. The location was good, on the river a few minutes walk from the castle bridge, and easy to walk to everywhere in town. I like that the hotel was in a quiet area since our room faced the street. While the room was small, everything was new and modern. The bathroom had all of the amenities and we liked the shower. Breakfast was included and there were plenty of hot and cold choices for all. Checkout was early, but we were able to store our luggage in the hallway while we did more sightseeing- wish the luggage could have been locked in a room so we felt better leaving it while we walked around town, but everything was OK.

Just 5 mins from the bus station, the medieval accommodation is as cosy as the little hamlet. Jakub has really helped us with all the necessary information and allowed us for an early check-in. The town center is less than 5 mins walk from the hotel. The breakfast was also good. P.S.: If you are staying in some of the more modern properties around the town square, you will need to drag your luggage through the cobbled paths up and down the terrain, and that might not be very easy.

The hotel comprises two former burghers’ houses with histories stretching back to the 15th century. The original, traditional wooden house survives from that time, but buildings have sprung up around it over the years, significantly transforming the appearance of No. 74 Latran St. You have the choice of accommodation in modern or period style rooms. A night spent in the medieval wooden house mentioned above. The stencil designs on the walls of some of the rooms are inspired by original motifs found in historical layers of paint.
The hotel has the potential to be quite charming. The location is excellent and the history adds to its charm. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good - typical for the location. A few things prevented our stay from being a really good experience. The bedding and towels were quite substandard. The pillows were especially awful. There were no wash cloths provided. There was no tea pot or coffee service offered in the room. The room was way too warm (it was December) and I couldn’t adjust the heat down. However, rooms that are too warm seem to be typical of hotels in Central Europe

My family and I stayed here during our trip to Czech Republic. Kristian and his wife were great hosts and are very proud of their newly decorated pension. We had room 1 and 8. Very nice. There is a common area balcony to relax and have a drink as well as breakfast. Great location. Highly recommended
