Reviewed By chetrarimarianaI had a lovely stay at Conacul Bratescu: accomodation very cozy and unique, the view is absolutely great, the rooms are very clean, the food is great, I did not want to try another restaurant around as here the food was amazing. Also, a very important aspect is that Bran Castle is only 500 meters away :). Radu Bratescu - the owner made us feel welcome as we were part of his family. Entire staff is very attentive and also very friendly with children. As this was a 4 day business trip, I am willing to spend some time there with my children as well. I do highly recommend this place, one of the few at this quality in Romania ( especially Bran area).

Amazing value all around
Reviewed By igal060357In all my travels this is the most lovely inn I have Stayed in. From My excellent room balcony I could see Dracula‘s castle. The furnishing in the lobby was fabulous . The hotel staff at the front desk and restaurant was very professional and friendly. The restaurant served tasty five star platters. If you are going to Bran this is a must place to stay!

"The GuestHouse" is run by us - John and Ioana. We offer six attractive luxury bedrooms for guests, with the best views of Bran / Dracula castle. We serve traditional Romanian and Transylvanian cuisine, using our own, or locally sourced, fresh produce as much as possible. We can cater for all diets and special requests, and can accommodate people of any age! We run tailor-made tours for our guests, using our own 4x4 - we specialize in nature, wildlife, rural culture, traditional crafts and Saxon Transylvania. We are situated in the heart of Romania - at the south eastern corner of Transylvania, nearest to the most convenient points of access from abroad. Just 3 hours from Bucuresti Otopeni airport, and a mere 45 minutes from Brasov international rail station.

Reviewed By Amitava Michael KThe proprietor, John, has this location and another one a little way outside of town called the White House – and he is definitely knowledgeable about building B&Bs that are conducive to comfortable and clean accommodation for traveling guests! Clean, spacious, and with an incredible view of the Castle Bran – this guest house is literally only about a five minute walk to town, and an eight minute walk to the castle! Appointments are modern, the bed is comfortable, and the room is light and bright with some great views! John probably greeted us with more enthusiasm and more local knowledge than even a native Romanian - he built his business here because he loves the location, and that shows in the way he treats his guests – this is definitely a place we will be coming back to!

The rooms are very nice, clean and spacious, the hosts are very welcoming and will do all they can to make your stay comfortable and peaceful. The food was absolutely delicious and varying every day. Only good thing was the location
Reviewed By Diane LWe were promised free parking but when we arrived we were told that the parking lot will be closed for the next 5 hours (they were cutting fire wood) and that we should pay to park on the street. The entrance to the hotel was through the restaurant (the other entrance is through the back) and the waitresses there hardly knew any English. Finally we were told to go to the back where the reception was. The receptionist was never there, we constantly needed to call her from the restaurant. I have to say she was nice enough to help us call our car rental place, but it was a pain looking for her when we needed her. The beds were very uncomfortable. The staff weren't friendly. All in all it wasn't a pleasant stay.

Reviewed By iulia24Even if it's a bit far from the center, the accommodation offers a wonderful view of the Bran Castle and Piatra Craiului Mountains. We were all very happy with our 4 days experience and would definitely recommend. The owner was very dedicated and friendly, made us feel very welcomed and helped us with everything we needed. Varied breakfast and good food, spatious rooms and lounge area, very clean and comfortable. I don't really understand the other reviews; also dogs are welcomed, I saw a lot of guests having dogs with them. Looking forward to our next visit in Bran. Greetings from Cluj.

Reviewed By Casiana27We stayed one night here. It was a teribile experience. I read some poor reviews on google, but I tought it may be a mistake or some difficult tourists. When we arrived, the entrance delighed our retina. Nice loby, many flowers. But when we entered the room I was shocked. Old furniture( this wouldn't be a big problem), dirty walls, the mattress was old and dirty. After I took a shower, the whole bathroom was filled in water because it's a problem with the cabin isolation. Ors friends had the same problem. Dirty room, old mattress. Very dissapointing...

Best in Bran for food and probably accomodation
Reviewed By Nomad48252880881Absolutely everything was perfect during a family lunch. Prices, food, service and the location is ideal for family trips. Playground and plenty of space for the kids. Best in Bran so far and we have been on vacation here for 20 years or something.
