Beautiful grounds, Horrible plumbing
Reviewed By unhappyguest2020The location of the property was nice and the grounds were beautiful. Our room had a wonderful view of the sea. The breakfast was also good. However, the plumbing problems and the staff's indifference to them were unacceptable. Our toilet would not flush 80% of the time, and with 4 of us, that was a problem. The water was often shut off entirely, and there was no advanced warning of this. The shower in our room had almost zero pressure. The water from the sink faucet was discolored brown most of the time, and was filled with black particles all of the time. We had to use the bottled water to brush our teeth and wash our face!. Luckily we found on our own, not offered to us by the staff, a full bathroom right off of the breakfast room, which was right down the stairs from our room. We were able to take showers in this "public" bathroom and also use the sink, but it is inconvenient to have to leave your own room to use the shower! We also had to cover the drain in the shower and bathroom as cockroaches would come up from the drains and into the bathroom. After the first night we asked the staff if we could change rooms or be relocated to one if their sister properties associated with the Latitude Hotel chain (they have at least 5 properties in Buzios), but due to the time of year (week of New Years) there were no vacancies. We love Buzios and will definitely return, but we will never stay at a Latitude Hotel there, or anywhere else in the world.

João went above and beyond helping me with my reservation. They were sold out but he managed to accommodate me. Make sure to ask for tips where to eat. He knows all the places where the locals go to. Ernesto is always ready to help with any questions. Fatima and Marlucia were extremely friendly and remembered me on the moment I arrived. Also I had the pleasure to meet Tia Lourdes, charming and delightful personality. Try to book a Superior room with terrace. Very comfortable. I highly recommend.

Disgusting pool and incompetent staff

No one was using it despite the + 40 weather because it looks like you’ll get a skin disease if you go in. We had staff arrange a shuttle to pick us up from the Rio airport to Búzios. We paid a month in advance and then they told us it was not confirmed. I emailed them several times on the day we were supposed to check in and provided our flight information 3 times. We paid for our room in advance. They were aware we were coming that night in the shuttle they arranged. We arrived and no one was at the property and the door was locked. We had to stay at a hotel across the street after waiting an hour. The next day we get to the hotel and they told us our room HAD NOT EVEN BEEN CLEANED YET! This is a room that we paid to stay in the night previously!!! How could it not even be ready yet? And how could no one be there to check us in when I had emailed them our information to remind them earlier that day??? We asked for our money back for the first night where we had to stay across the street and they didn’t give it to us! They didn’t even apologize. This hotel is a joke. Staff is completely incompetent. Pool is filthy. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else!

Reviewed By SV2101We took a flat with 2 rooms, one room with 2 singles beds, and the other room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Nice pool, easy access to the centro. Breakfast was ok. Parking available. Problems only with mosquitos in the garden but the rest, nothing. Recommended.

We particularly enjoyed the hearty breafast as well as the meals served at the restaurant. The waiters are also excellent bar-tenders! The view from our room was incredible, especially at sunset. We could not feel more satisfied to have chosen this venue to spend our holidays in Búzios.

Charming but simple
Reviewed By Diana GThis inn is well located in Buzios, walking distance from Ferradura beach and the city center (or 3 minutes by car). The place is full of nature and it's price is quite fair. The room we stayed was clean, silent and confortable (yet very simple). Staff is also very nice. The downsides are: very simple breakfast, towels are a little old, no amenities and no hair dryer. It rained and our balcon got all wet, we could not enjoy it. Its a good place to stay if you want to save money to enjoy other things in town. If you enjoy staying at the inn to read among the trees its also a good choice. But if you want good service, food, extra confortable room and toilet or fancy breakfast this is not the place.

They treat you like family and go out of their way to make your stay relaxing. Dul organized a boat trip and Luis even took me to the market to help buy all the bbq fixins. Outstanding people. Room 13 has amazing views. Breakfast delicious. Bed a bit hard is my only complaint. Nice gardens and loved the helpful attitude always with smiles and fun-loving solutions. We can’t wait to go back.
