This yellow sand beach is within easy walking distance of the train stations. It is nestled in a lovely bay and is the home for a lot of surf board orientated sports. Great views over the bay towards Enoshima Island and in the distance Mt Fuji. Plenty of nearby eateries.

Hirouyama Park is okay. But for a better view of the ocean + Mt. Fuji + better atmosphere, OSAKI Park nearby is much better. It's a smallish grass lawn park with some benches on the top of a hill overlooking Zushi Marina & the ocean. During the winter months, you get a great view of Mt. Fuji on sunny days. Walk all the way to the end of the park, and you get a great view of Zushi & Hayama also.
You can access this place either by foot (better to come from Kotsubo Gyoko or fishing port next to Zushi Marina and walk thru the residential area and some veggie fields) or drive and park your car on the street close to the park. The street is wide enough and I have never gotten a parking ticket.
There is a well kept toilet but no shops or vending machines.

A great place to take a trip within one hour from Tokyo by Car or Train. The place is in Zushi Marina, The GRAND BLUE Resturant in the Marina, overlooking Mount Fuji on the top of Islands of Yokusuka. Chose a Sunnyday for maximum ambience.
Kamakura is nearby, one station from Zushi. You can combine with a walk at Kamakura among the Zen Temples and 7th century capital of Japan, before or after the Brunch.
There is a fishing town nearby, can drop by to pickup some fresh fish, great for Sashimi or any way you like..

神奈川県逗子市にある「神武寺(じんむじ)」にやってきました。
逗子(マリーナ)といえば海ってイメージですが、ここは山の中です。先ずは参道入口から登り坂が始まります。途中から凝灰岩の岩場を削った階段があらわれます。森林の中の岩の階段を登りきり、シダの生い茂る路を歩いて行くと広場に出ます。その先にあるのが楼門です。昔、京急電鉄のポスターにも使われたこともある、いい雰囲気の門です。石段を登って楼門をくぐると鐘楼や薬師堂がお出迎え。本堂へは、岩と岩の隙間の細い道を進んでいくのですが、修験道であるため、一般人は立ち入り禁止で入れません。このお寺、1300年の歴史があるお寺で、源頼朝も崇敬した霊場と言われています。
ここ神武寺には鷹取山への中継地として何度か訪れました。自然豊かで、どの季節に来てもいいと思います。特に森林の中の参道は、春夏には新緑、秋には紅葉で彩られます。ちなみに、森が深く最も自然豊かなのは京急「神武寺駅」からの裏参道、岩の階段など道が整備されていてのがJR「東逗子駅」からの表参道です。また、神武寺駅～神武寺～鷹取山～(京急)追浜駅までは、地元キッズ達の遠足コースにもなってます。
