They had a nice procession to start the service, including a real donkey. Cathedral has plenty of service and choir sing well. Good acoustics and plenty to see if you stay after to look around the place. Plenty of parking available nearby at a reasonable price.

Tudor House Museum

This beautiful 16th century building in the heart of historic Friar Street is run as a museum by volunteers. Displays focus on the house's past, as a home to Tudor weavers through to its use as an ARP Warden's office in WW2, and a school clinic thereafter. A cafe serves tea, coffee and wrapped cakes on vintage bone China. There is a Tudor Rat trail and activities for children. Open Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday all year.

I visited this place about 2 weeks ago on my own. It is free to enter and there is a coffee shop as well. There are lots of little rooms throughout the house with historical memorabilia and items of interest. There are also many articles to read on the walls and pictures from the past.
It is quite amazing to learn about what went on in Worcester all those years ago.
There are volunteers who assist and also share their vast knowledge of what everything in this museum means or was used for.
There is also a small area upstairs to watch a DVD of Worcester historical events and goings on, however the DVD seems to keep getting stuck and was not able to be viewed on my visit. Hopefully they fixed that as it seemed quite interesting.
Apparently there is an old cellar in this building however they do not allow people to go down and see what is in there, my curiosity was peaked when I saw that. I am a curious person :)
This is a nice place to go if you need to spend a bit of time in town and want to learn a bit more detailed information about Worcester and how they did things back in the day.
Lots of things to see in here and even the famous Worcester sauce recipe is posted on the wall in here someplace... you will have to find it yourself!
Can't beat a free museum... worth a visit...

Worcester Woods Country Park

Two nature reserves, a huge open field, busy countryside centre with award winning cafe and easy access from the city or the motorway, make this site very popular. There are two adventure play parks, ancient woodlands to explore and space to fly a kite or have a game of rounders. During school holidays you'll find a timetable of events to keep children entertained, which include jewellery making, sports sessions and arts and crafts. Two waymarked trails occupy the park if you fancy a stroll, one through the beautiful and colourful meadows and the other through the shaded woods. The park has an orienteering course and geocache for those on a quest. A popular place for families, where young and old can get together, maybe enjoy a summer BBQ or picnic or just take in the friendly environment that awaits you. Dogs welcome.

Lovely long walks surrounding the cafe and warm staff who were very approachable on the grounds. Perfect for walking dogs in an evening, a weekday jog or even a coffee and a social visit on the weekend. Prices were a little on the expensive side but that's the same with all cafes these days!

Worcester Guildhall

The City's Guildhall is a truly beautiful building which dates back to 1721. It has a fascinating history – it was once the seat of justice throughout the city and even housed a prison – and today offers both visitors and residents a glimpse of Worcester's rich and varied heritage.

This attractive building is well-maintained and has a bit of history on the façade. The head above the doorway is that of Oliver Cromwell, who was beheaded for his traitorous activities against the crown. The heads in the façade are similarly of other opposition figures who where beheaded, drawn, and quartered at the time.
Really admire the attractive fence around the front courtyard. Take some time to admire this building and the history it represents. There is a nice information section inside, where some souvenirs are available.

The Museum is just on the edge of Worcester and on occasions has special Exhibitions some of which are also free to enter. The staff are helpful and the Museum provides a good venue to learn more about Worcester and Worcestershire. As with all public service provisions more funding would improve the Museum.
