Woodstock is a city in and the county seat of McHenry County, Illinois, United States, located 51 miles (82 km) northwest of Chicago. The population was 25,528 at the start of 2017. The city's downtown includes a historic, turn-of-the-century town square, which is anchored by the landmark Woodstock Opera House and the Old McHenry County Courthouse. The city was named one of the nation's Dozen Distinctive Destinations in 2007 by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The fictional town of Hawkins Falls, of the 1950s television soap opera Hawkins Falls, Population 6200, was patterned after Woodstock, Illinois.

winestock has been open about a year and is a great addition to the Square. Nice selection of wines, by glass or bottle, or to go. Also craft cocktails and craft beer. Personal service from Mike and Mark add to the experience. Cheese plates,charcuterie are available as well as Italian beef and andoille. Often features special events like live music, improv comedy and even kareoke. A laid back place ,quiet and elegant.highly recommended.

Great escape room. The owner, Jim, was outstanding and was an amazing host. As soon as you walk in the door the adventure starts. Puzzles were challenging but he provides additional clues if needed. We completed the mad scientist room with 13 seconds to spare!

The old time feeling and history is sure prevalent in this beautiful historic Opera House---we had amazing seats and wonderful time in the square at Christmas time--such a hometown square feeling-we loved all the history inside & gift shop

I love the Woodstock Theater! It is old and beautiful, but well maintained, it has been up-dated without taking away from the old theater charm. Free popcorn & Pop refills, I love taking my grandchildren their, we always have a great day! Just saw Toy Story 4 their. And you can't beat the pricing either!

We revisited only to find out they changed owners. I would say it was for the better. The store has more high end things now along with great buys. People are really friendly and willing to help. They also have a lower level opened now. Allot to see glad we stopped by.
