I think that I could stand and do slow circles in the middle of Grand Place forever! A perfect place for people watching, catching an easy drink, soaking in the atmosphere, grabbing a quick bite. The town spreads out like spokes on a wheel from this place - all directions promising something different. Give yourself a short break to experience this spectacular square.

We stopped off here between Bruges and Brussels and it was a really wonderful day. So lovely for children with lakes, Playgrounds and even little farm animals. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed some yummy waffles from a little van too. Highly recommend this special park.

The brand Leonidas, which has just completed its centenary from the founding (1913), is certainly one of the best-known brands in Belgium and abroad for this typical and unique chocolate, thanks to a widespread and established product.
During our visit to Brussels, in the short path between the Grande Place and the Manneken Pis we stopped to buy pralines in this boutique of the manufacturer, attracted by advertising for a new praline presented to tourists' passers-by.
A well-presented locale, a confectionery offering the typical products and packages of the season, without excess but without falling style.

This museum is just a small community museum, but what a surprisingly interesting and large collection. Spilliaert, Panamarenko, Ensor, Minne, Wouters, Magritte and the list goes on and on. The retrospective of Robert Doisneau came as an unexpected bonus. Some good books in the shop.

A lot of reviews seem to focus on this being a place for kids, but adults too can be entertained for a good 2 hours. The exhibits are impressive and plentiful, spread over 3 huge halls, from the earliest days of steam right up to the latest Eurostar, Thalys or ICE trains. Thoughtful sections on history such as the living conditions of railway workers or the role of Railways in the holocaust gave gravitas and social context too. Very well laid out and the audioguide was excellent. Highly recommended.

The Museum is in a residential area. A pleasant walk from the Metro. When you arrive you have to ring the bell. I arrived just as an English language tour was about to begin which was convenient. The guide was knowledgeable and showed how objects in the house, such as the door handles, had contributed directly to Magritte's surrealist symbolism. There is a display of personal objects and printed works. Good insight into Magritte's life.
Do this first museum first, then go the Musee Magritte Museum, where his major artworks are on display.

This is one of Brussels ‘green lungs’; an area to escape the noise of the city. Bordered by trees – many imported from around the world for their interesting leaves, bark and shape – the park has many statues and sculptures of local worthies who have no doubt contributed to the park and Belgian society.
As usual in Brussels you get the impression that this must all have been very beautiful, very grand, 100 years ago, maybe even just 50 years ago, but now the ponds are choked, the park is getting dug up, paths are blocked, the café is surrounded by a wire fence… even the donkeys look as if they are on their last legs. And yet this is still a beautiful park to walk round. We saw a wedding party using the park as a backdrop for their photos, children in groups from the schools getting lessons sitting on the grass, the local community having a picnic day. This is a great park, you could be miles away from the city. Enjoy what is left while it is still available.

There's not really much to say as words cannot do justice to the absolutely amazing Guildhouses and the amazing Grand Place ( Grote Markt ) .
The rows of Guildhouses look magnificent during the daylight when you can appreciate the great detail of these wonderful structures but come the night time there magical when illuminated and it's hardly surprising that this square has been voted the best in Europe and so in my opinion the best in the world and is a Unesco world heritage site.
Besides the wonderful Guildhouses you have City Hall and the Museum Of The City Of Brussels and innumerable pubs,bars and restaurants in this square,which makes it Brussels number one tourist attraction by far.
Well worth checking out.

Ones eyes can never miss this fascinating building in the Grand Place, Brussels. The improper proportion of the building construction with the central tower will amuse everyone. There are free Concerts happening inside the Town hall and you can really enjoy if ur a music lover. At night the Building is lit up with lights and decors. The interiors of the concert halls are grand and artistic with art and architectural works.

A great place to stroll during a nice day, not recommended if it's cold or rainy. The paths are nice and well laid out and the lake is wonderful.
