I've been to the Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village twice (both times my visit was the result of receiving a gift). Also both visits provided the "whole package", so I enjoyed about 6 hours of pampering and relaxation and rejuvenation. The Spa offers several different package options, so if you aren't familiar with the scope of services provided, stop by and inquire, the spa desk staff are exceptional and extremely welcoming and helpful. As is to be expected, the hotel offers valet service, but you can also free park in the hotel's free parking area, and its just a short walk back to the spa. You might be a bit tense and worse for wear when you arrive, but when your spa day is over you will be rejuvenated. First Class Service with a smile.

You could easily miss this place as it's right in the city. We visited in December so many of the flowers had already bloomed, but there were still some that were still alive. They also have a very beautiful Japanese Garden and a pond full of Koi fish, a couple of waterfalls and a beautiful gazebo.

So we have been here for a horse back ride, which was a lot of fun. We rode through the western town and into the hills. But this review isn't for the horses, it is for the "Ghost Tour" of the ranch. What this consists of is a nice evening walk among the ranch's Hollywood sets and into the hills with a group of people led by a park ranger. Nothing scary or haunting really, people tell ghost stories and you hear history about the ranch. I love that they are doing this to get more people to come out and visit the ranch. It is free during the time of year that they offer it and there are plans for later in October, the 27th I believe for a scarier Halloween experience at what they are calling Scaramount ranch? Beautiful evening, nice walk, we had fun. Congrats to the park service and check out the big event coming up.

$25 admission, self guided tour of museum, lots of info. on Reagan’s life from childhood to film career and politics. Most impressive was the Air Force One plane and Marine One helicopter. Grounds overlooked Simi Valley, beautifully landscaped with memorials on site. Cafe and gift shop were both good. Free parking. Loved this place!

Walk the site and check out the helipad. Most of the set has been removed, but it is still easy to visualize the many years that MASH was filmed in the Santa Monica mountains. Great hike to the film location by the lake and through the woods. Plenty of parking, pay lot, and clean restrooms. Great place to picnic.

Never start off by telling your customer "you're sorry things are taking so long, we are just really slammed." I watched the servers running around our theatre trying to keep up with the service lights while the runners would be casually bringing out one or two mixed drinks at a time. It took about 10 minutes after we got our food to get a coke...about 25 minutes total...for a coke. Premium prices warrant premium service. Yes the seats are great, the little lights are great and my "ultimate burger" was great. Even the movie we saw was great ..right up until i had to leave the theatre to find out how long it takes to make a coke. Fries were about a 2...cool and soggy. Studio Movie Grill service is much much better ...I wouldn't go back.

One of my favorite places to hike. I have an 11 and 4 year old. They can both make it to Paradise Falls just fine. Really nice area. Other trails have some cool scenery as well. My son loved climbing up in the small cave area.

We visited on a Sunday morning in May and drove the Mulholland Highway through the Santa Monica Mountains from Thousand Oaks to Woodland Hills. It's a narrow, twisty road with steep drop-offs - great fun if you enjoy this sort of scenic drive but maybe not for those who get car sick or are afraid of heights. The route passes by vineyards and near several park units: Paramount Ranch, Stunt Ranch, Malibu Creek, and King Gillette Ranch where the Visitor Center is located. It's a very popular area for hiking. I enjoyed our drive but wish there were more safe pull-outs or overlooks for photos. Also, due to the mountainous terrain there are not many activities that are wheelchair-accessible.

The Reyes Adobe tells the story of Local Agoura Hills story. The house was built here because it was beside a stream, the only source of water in the area.
The tour begins in the former barn which has a room with artifacts and a small class room. The tour took us through an adobe home, typical of mid-19th century California. When built, none of the rooms connected, they were clustered abound a courtyard. The cooking was outside, which was typical of the time.

Sherwood Country Club has undergone a significant renovation on the golf course front, and the result is an outstanding and polished test of golf in one of the great natural settings in America. Original course designed Jack Nicklaus was brought in to do a total makeover of the original design, resulting in the course being closed for a year. The finished product is now completed, and he has taken an original gem, and brought it to new heights. The layout of the course is significantly the same, but the details and course infrastructure are much improved. Nicklaus has taken some of the undulation out of the original greens, moved bunkers, repositioned some greens entirely and restored native California grasses.
The result is an exquisite golf experience, with a spectrum of challenge from pro tee's (with Bear tee markers) to a range of tee's that will challenge golfers of all levels. I'm a regular 90's golfer and found the blue tees to be a fair test. The traps are fully white, the fairways fair and the rough very, well, rough. The greens may have less undulation, but if you are not in the fairway off the tee, it is unlikely you will reach the green in regulation. Such is the thickness and depth of the rough now.
Each hole is it's own entire chapter in a round of golf. You never see another fairway next to yours, and wildlife abounds, as I saw heron, a hawk and a herd of deer during my round.
This is an experience to savor if you are fortunate enough to play. Arrive early to enjoy the spectacular golf range, with an attendant there to offer you water, clean your clubs and accommodate any needs. Stay late and enjoy the men's locker room, which is anything but a locker room, with a full restaurant and bar, and the requisite TV's all over the walls. Hot tub? Sauna? Work out? No problem.
If you get the chance, go. You won't be disappointed.
