I'm surprised there aren't more TripAdvisor reviews of this place because it's a true little gem in Westbrook and the entire Portland area. They've won several awards, including 'Top Ten Chocolatier in North America' and 'Maine's Best Chocolate'. I bought a box of 18 assorted milk and dark chocolate truffles, and each one was a delectable little work of art. These chocolates aren't cheap -- they're around $2.00 each -- but they're worth it, and you savor every bite. They have high-quality ingredients, spectacular flavor, beautiful presentation, and they're boxed with simple elegance. There are also holiday edition truffles right now , like eggnog and champagne pear. Their drinking chocolate mix is also fantastic. Great, great place!

This is a great river walk, especially in autumn when the weather's cooler. It has wonderful views of the waterfalls and the quintessential New England mills (and the river, of course). With the winter holidays approaching, the footbridge and several nearby trees and shrubs have Christmas lights and other fixtures. It's a great place to walk off a meal from one of the several good restaurants along part of the trail.
