This is a beautiful spot with the turquoise colour of the river between the two lakes surrounded by the snow-capped Mountains so has full marks for natural beauty.
However the signage off the main road is very poor, as it the dirt track to the river itself. The steps on one side of the bridge are dangerous and in need of repair.
We followed a little dirt track on the far side of the river, be very careful if it's wet - it was worth doing as the view at the end was spectacular.

The Espejo Lake was formed by glaciers, Located in the Province of Neuquen in Villa La Angostura and is part of the Seven Lakes ride.
It gets his name beacause the clean and peaceful waters reflect like a mirror the landsacpe as well as the sky and clouds.
The lake is suitable for children because it is very calm (this does not mean children should be left unattended)
There are bahtroom facilities but no rental of sunshades, so make sure you bring one. If you don´t you will need to get there early to lie down near the trees nor snacks store.
The lake shore is volcanic, or with rushes or rocks.

The 12 km path in the park is a good walk and there are some fine specimens of the trees near the eastern end of the park. However the 500 peso entry price for foreigners is hugely excessive. The trees can be seen elsewhere, Llao Llao has a few and we saw many on Chile’s island of Chiloe, especially at the national park near Cucao. The walk in this park is not special enough to justify the price for foreigners. Walking in the area around the Rio Correntoso is pleasant (and free).

Right between lakes "Espejo" and "Escondido" on the "Route of the Seven Lakes" and not far from Villa La Angostura, you'll find "Lago Correntoso" and its beautiful beach.

Cerro Bayo

It self entittles "ski boutique", but it seems due to the size of the ski center. "Boutique" could also mean attentive and good service as well.
Unfortunately it is not the case. It is not cheap, badly signposted and the restaurants are horribles (bad accomodations and food).
If you want to enjoy the day with your familly (not skying) there are few activities. Snow tubing is a fun downhill with tire chamber (extra payment for use).
Maybe for skiers this place could be a nice place, not sure for those who do not ski.
