Horseback riding trips in Córdoba, Argentina If you are looking for the best way to acknowledge the nature of the hills of Córdoba, share a typical meal with a gaucho, and discover a new way to relate to horses, this is the perfect trip for you. The idea of the trip is to enjoy a full day of horseback riding with a specialized guide. The day starts at 9:00 am and ends at 18:00 approximately. The guide himself will pick you up with his car wherever you are staying in Córdoba center, will drive you to the ranch "Estancia El Rosal" where the horses live, and later he will bring you back home. The day is divided in two parts so you can enjoy every minute without getting tired. At morning when you get to the ranch, the guide will lead you to know the place. It will take a while to get the horses ready because they live free at the Mountains. When everything is ready you will ride for about two hours on the well-trained horses using our particular way of riding: gaucho riding! Previous experience it is not needed, so don't worry about your fears, we will be taking care of you all the time and the horses are kind and easy. If you are an experienced rider, you will learn quickly our way to manage horses, and you will be free to try some running when the guide allows you. through the surroundding hills of the ranch (the amazing views are included). After that you will have a quantifull lunch (asado: our type of barbeque from argentina) with the best argentinian meat. Also there is a vegetarian menu available. When you are done with the food, you will rest a little (as much as you want) . After thet you will get on the horses again to ride through a different path than the first one. We recommend to bring: A camera, for the outstanding views and beautiful horses, long trousers, sunscreen, swimming suits for the river and hats for the sun

I can thoroughly recommend a day with Salvador in the Sierras Chicas. We were staying in Cordoba, and my fiancé and I were keen to sample some Argentinian horse riding in the local countryside. We found Salvador via Facebook, and thanks to some positive TripAdvisor reviews, decided to book a day experience. We are so glad we did, as it was arguably the best thing we did in Argentina! There is so much positive stuff we could say, but here are the main points... 1. We are both beginner horse riders, and I was particularly nervous about being on a horse. We mentioned this to Salvador and he gave us both gentle horses, meaning we had no trouble on the day. I absolutely loved the ride, and felt relaxed throughout. In addition, the way you ride is Salvador goes up front, and either his daughter/assistant is nearer the back - so if you've any issues, you're seconds away from some help. I trusted the whole experience. 2. The way our day was organised was perfect. We went for a longer 1.5-2hour ride before lunch, then enjoyed a basic but delicious asado for lunch (the steak was amazing), then we headed out for another 1 hour ride down towards a stream/river where we had a quick dip before heading back home. 3. Salvador is a fantastic host. He was really jolly and genuine, and seemed to really care that we were happy and having fun. His English is also very good - a bonus if like us, you can't really converse in Spanish. Our only tips would be to bring LOTS of water, suncream and possibly a hat. The weather was boiling, and some people got very sunburnt! Plus we couldn't buy water at the facility - so had to settle for a lemonade.

Este lugar histórico se encuentra muy cerca de la capilla. Durante tiempos pasados se realizaba la molienda de granos en este lugar. Hoy en día se encuentra fuera de funcionamiento.

One of the monuments to visit in this town. The church is quite new, 1933. Intersting are the colours used by architect Ferrari on front. Thé neogothic style remains always attractive.

The Calamuchita valley is relaxing and quite beautiful even though we visited immediately after the widespread wildfires. La Cumbrecita is over-rated but still a pleasant spot to kick back for a day; it's also a good base for a few 1-2 hr hikes. Villa Belgrano is a sad attempt to recreate a little bit of Bavaria in Argentina. Regrettably, while it has some nice restaurants the main street is more like a poor attempt at a Disney Theme Park.

visitamos el museo la semana pasada. la entrada es de 120 pesos. La visita tiene una duracion de una hora y media a dos horas. es dinámica, interactiva , e va transitando por diversas salas , donde se tratan diversos temas de fisica; electricidad, colores, calor, espejos, etc. ademas incluye un paseo en tren para ver arboles autóctonos y al finalizar un observatorio para ver las estrellas de una noche de verano en el hemisferio sur.

Es uno de los tantos lugares históricos de la zona. Esta capilla aunque pequeña, muy tranquila y acogedora, para pasar un momento religioso en paz y armonía.

The whole Manzana (block) is a Unesco World Heritage site, since 2000. La Manzana Jesuítica de Córdoba (Argentina), is a whole block at the very city center, which includes: the Capilla Doméstica, the Colegio Nacional de Monserrat, the Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús, the old Universidad Nacional de Córdoba headquarter and the Residencia
The church (Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús) looks very simple from the outside, as expected from the jesuitic order, but has a beautifully ornated interior, with pieces from different centuries (e.g. the altar is from Century 20th while the basic structure dates back to the 1600s, when the Jesuits established themselves in Cordoba) and a breathtaking ceiling. The tomb of Fray (Obispo) Trejo, who now lends his name to the front street, is at the back, next to the ornated altar.
Definitely worth a visit!
Free entrance. Open all year round.

En el paseo una puede ir de compras, tomar algo en el bar y también cuenta con un banco y cajeros

The whole site is quite fascinating once you learn some of the history. Parts are very beautiful and other parts are certainly historically interesting. Our tour guide was very passionate and took her time to explain every detail. Excellent value for money
