Long and very beautiful beach walk at low tide. Very few other people there Doesn't look like there'll be much sand at high tide The cafes were closed when we visited but it is out of season Spectacular drive down winding road to the beach

we got here just before sunset and it was so stunning! it is pretty windy so be prepared for that. wear sturdy shoes if you want to walk around at all off the main road, it's craggy. going later we didn't get there when the lighthouse area and food stands were open, but i think the sunset was a worthwhile trade-off. definitely do this if you are down in the Algarve!

Recommended by a new friend that I have accidentally got to know on a flight to Dubai back in May, I have decided to spend our next holiday in Portugal Surfing at Amado Beach. No idea what to expect, simply intrigued by the idea itself, I made my family sign up to this adventure. I was not disappointed the slightest bit. All was perfect and my family wants to return for 2 weeks next year. Special thanks to Kiko, Lihi, Luis & the whole team at the camp, you made our visit unforgettable.
Keep on shredding & the fine work!

The tour was a half day tour of the western Algarve we were picked up from our villa at 9.30am in a landrover in total their were 3 couples and driven up to Sangres and given a running commentary by Sandro our driver who was both interesting and informative. From Sangres we went to Cap St Vincent to see the light house and we stopped here for 20 minutes, then we went off road to a beach and then onto some spectacular cliffs where we had a walk around. Finally we stopped in the national park to have a 30 minute walk through the forest which was interesting. Then we were taken back to our villa in all the tour took around four hours and was great.

Wonderful beach with great sand and little restaurants nearby. It does get deep pretty quick but our little girl loved it. Very clean and clear water. Water temp is cool but still fine.

Excellent for a long walk on the sandy beach, see lots of surfers. A very different environment from the sheltered South Coast Beaches. Come here for drama and go to the South Coast for calm. Marvelous to have such incredible contrast within 20 minutes drive via Vila do Bispo between the two coasts.

Sandy, level beach walking out to a lot of single, straight and strong waves. Crowded with surfers. Rent a board and wetsuit and get away from the surf school crowds. Driving distance from Sagres 20-30 minutes. Get there in the morning, or the parking become difficult. If you use the Amado Surf Camp, DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING OF VALUE IN YOUR BAG/PACK ON THEIR SHELVES. They say there I no problem. They really don`t care. They`ll say anything. AGAIN, DON`T LEAVE ANYYHIBG VALUEBLE On THEIR SHELVES WHICH AT OUT IN TH OPEN WIYH NO ONE WATCHING THEM. There are other surfactants at the Sam beach. Maybe they offer small class sizes. Check around. I would, if I was go I by again.

Zavial Beach is located on a small river mouth, with no urban area around. Nearby this beach there are the ruins of a fortification from the 17th century. This beach combines good conditions for Surf and Diving.

We always have lovely meals here. It is so nice early evening to it beside the beach eating and drinking before the sun sets. Meals are very good and Lorinda herself, the owner, cooks and you are served by Manel and Sarah, both very professional and polite.
