Hike&Bike Slovenia

We have gathered personal enthusiasm over the Slovenian beauties, sport spirit, guiding knowledge and experiences in tour organization in a small company and we want to share all that with people who come to Slovenia. Our aim is to show the hidden spots of this small European country to everybody who chooses to travel with us.

Grega took my family (2 adults and 2 teenagers) out on a full day guided tour. What an awesome day a bit over 30kms of riding through Mountains, along the lake and a hike up to see the waterfall. Grega catered to our different levels of riding and was full of knowledge of the area. Highlight of our trip so far. Highly recommend taking a guided tour.

Four Seasons Travel - Day Tours

We are an officially licenced incoming tourist agency based in Lake Bled, Slovenia. We offer private transfers and custom made 1-day private tours to clients visiting Slovenia and some parts of Italy, Austria and Croatia. We operate a small fleet of luxury 8-seater minivans and all of our driver/guides are experienced, friendly and English speaking.

This was a wonderful trip customized for us by Mr. Graeme Chuter. We only had one day and wanted to see both Lake Bled and the Julian Alps. This is a lot of ground to cover so if you can spare two days that would be ideal. Mr. Chuter is an excellent driver and took us to some amazing sights. I am a photographer and he stopped and pointed out the best places to photograph. Outstanding day for all of us.

Pericnik Waterfall

We parked in Mojstrana and took a walk up the hill to the tourist centre, where they were extremely helpful and friendly. From there we walked up the road, following the sign posts, which were very clear. We walked through the beautiful forest along the absolutely breathtaking river of azure water. The walk up to the waterfall is a good hike through the forest, but well worth the reward at the end. It is absolutely stunning! I can highly recommend this trip.

Velika Planina

Nearby Ljubljana and only few kilometres from the town Kamnik is located the bottom station of the cable car to Velika planina, which takes you amongst the green pastures of the mountain plateau in the heart of the Kamnik Alps. We recommend that you walk to the herdsmen's settlement and feel the simple way of the herdsmen's life, taste their dairy products and admire the unique architecture of the cottages which define Velika planina. To those, who are more active, the mountain offers ideal possibilities for hiking and various mountain-cycling tours. Best way to get on Velika planina is cable car, which takes you from Kamniška Bistrica valley to the mountain. Average price for cable car is 13€, if you want to go to the top with a chairlif, price is 15€.

High alpine pasture land is something special with their interesting wooden architecture, some cows walking around and many tourists, happy to be between friends, in small, simple restaurants with fresh food and milk, to hear some accordions in the evening. This is not a place for mass tourism or snobs. All others are welcome. They can walk up or use the Cableway. You can find small museum and wooden church between small houses. Place is just 30 km north from Ljubljana. Place is also minor skiing resort during the winter

This is not for the faint hearted, nor those who aren’t reasonably fit. Although Google Maps will tell you it’s 20 minutes up from the lake, I would give yourselves about 40-50 minutes to reach the top.
It’s extremely steep and there are parts which are rather treacherous. Ensure you take water and appropriate footwear!

I stayed 3 night at Ljubljana and walked in Old Town`s all streets and I have never been bored. Rain could not stopped me and I enjoyed a lot by watching the beautiful buildings and streets atmosphere. Scale of the streets were very sympathetic and provided different surprised angles. The first thing that you should do when you will arrive to the city. Cafes, restaurants, interesting shops, all are waiting for you to discover.
