Visited here en route to a short break in mount wolseley. The kids did the chocolate mould making. They all really enjoyed it. We also had various drinks and some mini chocolate fountains with strawberries and marshmallows. Everyone loved those and my 12 year old has told me that the white hot chocolate she had was the best she ever had (and she’s tried lots!) so that’s a real compliment. This is a family business. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend it to anyone visiting this area

There is something for everybody. Rathwood, is particularly famous for its Express Train which takes you around the extensive forest grounds, watch out for the deer and sheep along the way and see if you can spot their newly born offspring. It even has a little stop off at the pond to allow you to feed the ducks and geese with food provided by the Train driver. We brought our 4 year old twins to Rathwood yesterday to see Santa and from start to finish the entire experience was magical. The twins absolutely loved it. We weren't sure what to expect this year due to restrictions but they thought of everything. It was perfect.

Tullow Museum

Reviewed By L7120IXthomasb - Hardegsen, Germany

I was especially interested to visit this little museum of local Tullow history because my late grandfather was also a historian for his home town in Germany and collected many bits and bops as well as newspaper clippings, books etc. Tullow Museum had been featured in a documentary on German TV at some point. That's how I found out about its existence. So when my holiday trip took me to the East and Southeast of Ireland this year, I was not let down by what I found in Tullow. Despite the items being seemingly just put wherever they would fit into the small space that the building offers, I applaud the people running the place for preserving all those items that would otherwise have been lost in time. It was an interesting experience that deserves praise and a sound recommendation. Go see it!

This night spot was the highlight of our Dublin-Kilkenny cycle holiday! They treated us to a feast with live music and really didn't seem to be bothered that we were still in our cycling shorts and camping illegally at the top of the hill not so far up from the Garda, really. Be sure to start in John Dalton (they were really cool about storing the bikes) head to the Derreen for some local whisky and across to JJ's with their incredible 50s American theme! If you enjoyed Chinese takeout curry chips during the evening, youll want to know that the Top opens at 7:30am even on Sunday. Enjoyed everything Tullow offerred...though well have to come back during the Ploughing!
