This visit will be very interesting if you understand russian ortodox architecture . There is not church in Russia like this. The church unusual inside and outside. There is nice park around of church, you can walk, see a river's slow waters and enjoy the sunny glare of the crown at the top of the church.

Museum-Reserve A. S. Pushkina

Reviewed By JMB-NLY - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA

This is an undiscovered gem even by many locals. It's a relatively recently restored estate house and church located in the small town of Bolshie Vyazemy about 50 km from Moscow. The church was built by Boris Gudinov around the beginning of the 17th century and the estate house was built by the Golitsyns, one of Russia's most famous aristocratic families, after being gifted the land by Peter the Great a century later. Both are in fabulous shape. We took a two-hour guided excursion (in Russian – not sure if the offer them in English, but you can tour the buildings on your own without the guided excursion) of the estate house and learned a lot about the architecture of the structure, the daily life of its inhabitants, and the accomplishments of the Golitsyns over two centuries until the Russian revolution. The restoration and conversion into a museum complex started in the 1980s and was completed around the turn of the century, which may help explain why our Russian friends had still mostly not heard of it.

Vnukovo Outlet Village

Vnukovo Outlet Village is one of the first shopping malls of international format in Russia. The Outlet is placed in the forest area on the 8th km from MKAD (The Moscow Ring Automobile Road) of the Kievskoe highway. This is a wonderful place to go shopping and have a rest with your family. You can find well-known brands with the price reductions of 30%-70%, all year round. You will never forget various entertaining events which Vnukovo Outlet Village offers throughout the year.

I've been to this outlet, as heard from many people that it's a good shopping place. First of all it's too small for a outlet village. Secondly the shops has the dump collection which are not even in Moscow good trading centers like Metropolis, Zolotoy Vavilion, Evropyeskiy Trading centre. Couldn't understand how the peole can say that the shopping in this outlet is of European standard. Seems they have never done a normal shopping in Europe or in any european outlet village.
Advise to everybody not to waste time to visit this outlet, better go for shopping to other trading centers.
The restaurant Trattoria in this outlet is a comfortable and nice place with a low quality of food. Food served are not value for money!!!!

Moscow Metro

Riding the city's underground subway system is a sightseeing tour in itself with huge, vaulted, marble-columned stations - some with ornate mosaics and splendid stained glass - designed and decorated by famous Russian architects and sculptors.

Reviewed By Lynn B - Gatineau, Canada

Who knew the underground could be so beautiful? Moscow’s metro stations are ornately decorated and full of unique art and design. Much of it captures historical events. Some metro stations are quite luxurious with splendid halls and chandeliers. The metro stations are treasures in of themselves. The only unfortunate thing is we happened to visit during the rush hour and it got very busy and crowded. On the other hand, it gave us a more authentic experience.

Tsarytsino Open-Air History and Architectural Museum

Reviewed By Robbie D - Inverness, Scotland, United Kingdom

This is a feeble attempt to compete with St Petersburg attractions. It is not a restoration but the development of an old building shell. The bulk of the contents are modern reproductions and most paintings we saw were actually dated 2006/2007 and pretty poor.
For us it was a complete waste of 3 hours.
Worse still was that the bulk of the main building was closed to the public at the time as it had been hired out!!!
The park area was good but not a lot else can be said.
Avoid!!!
