Peninsular Botanic Garden - Thung Khai

Reviewed By John K - Costa Mesa, California

The garden offers free admission. Enjoyed a relaxed hour walking the 3 km route through the forest and the swamp. Canopy-walk towers are in need of some care, but it was nice to view the forest from up high. I have visited many botanical Gardens in many Asian countries, some of which are the highlight of my trip, but this garden was really more of an arboretum than a botanical garden. Still an enjoyable way to pass a few hours while awaiting your trip to the Islands. Tip - you can self tour, rent a scooter for 200 B and drive yourself. The highway is not so busy and not dangerous, plenty wide for all traffic.

Trang Andaman Gateway

This is not a place that you need to see. It is a nice place with many elephant statues, the history of the road conecting east and west Thailand (gateway) nicely written on plaquettes.
Good for some pictures, some coffee.... it is free to park and walk around.

Beside this famous monument, there is another location nearby which showcase the 2 storey house this famous man used to live when he was still alive. The house was made from wood but it still look strong after so many decades. The furnitures, stationary, photos hanging on the walls have more than a hundred year history. You can see the Trang governor wax statue sitting in the living room on his favourite rocking chair. A brief history of him is available in English with the brochure provided.

Ism not a religious person, known for frequently visiting churches. So in my opinion the church in Trang is not special in relation to the average church (worldwide).
I visited this church years ago, mainly because it is situated very clise to the olace my wife was born. And also because she told me, she went to a priest there, to ask advise how to write her family name in our alphabet
The church is situated about ten to fifteen minutes walking from the railway station in T rang

It's located in Mok Island. You can buy trip from your hotel.
It's really amazing and must go cave.
So adventure in the cave cause it's dark, just keep going till you see the light at the tunnel.
You will amaze with the atmosphere, just a small beach surround with mountain.
I vote it as 1 of unseen in Thailand....!!!

Note this is not in the province of Trang (although there are temples close to Trang far older and worth visiting). This is in the old capital Ayutthaya.

Kew Ong Ear Shrine

Reviewed By trangerkuda - Trang, Thailand

This just another of the - in my opinoin - obscure destinations, mentioned in travel guides and the likes. This particular small temple Chinese style is not very interesting.
I think even in Trang Town itself, there are morr 'impressive' Chinese temples (certainly historically).
I think you should look for more interesting destinations in and around Trang Town while visiting there.

We contacted Jip to organise out trip to/from Koh Kradan from Trang airport. She speaks good English and replied to my messages straight away. They were punctual, their vans and cars spotless and they organised a shared taxi boat as well as a private long tail and everything was perfect.
