March Farms

A long time family favorite. Fruit picking, farm stand, pet the animals and play on the playscape! Try the pies, donuts and cider - all are made on the premises. In the fall and summer they often have fun events on the weekend. It’s a wonderful place to support and a beloved fixture for the local community.

The Bellamy-Ferriday House & Garden

Reviewed By rob103

Three of us recently visited this historic Connecticut home on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Two of us were drawn to it by the home's connection to the main character of "Lilac Girls" which we had read and enjoyed very much. The home itself is quite interesting and the gardens very lovely. We were given a tour of the home and grounds by "Dorothy" whose knowledge of the house and the principal families who had lived there was most impressive. Since Caroline Ferriday's affection for her childhood summer home "The Hay" came across so well in "Lilac Girls", it was a real treat to be able to visit the home ourselves. We consider a visit to this house a "must" for fans of this excellent book.

Mass at the Abbey's church takes you back in time or to Italy with a Latin Mass. The sheer peacefulness of the Mass allows you to regroup from the pace of modern life and appreciate the splendor of communing with your beliefs. True rejuvenation and being able to approach a new week with optimism makes attending Mass here a joy.
