This is a pilgrimage site and worth the drive. Filipino rewarding site that is worth it. s are terrible drivers and the trip can be a bit stressful. The tricycle drivers especially. They don't understand slow traffic stays right or anything else, but the trip is beautiful for certain. The site is also beautiful and opens at 8 and closes at 5. So you can spend all day there and it is an emotionally . It is always desirable to renew you vows and religiosity and the gift shop which only accepts cash has many things for a blessed home and person. For Catholics this is a MUST!

Mount Daraitan & Tinipak River

Reviewed By uthipsay - Manila, Philippines

Mountain Daraitan is very famous for Sunrise view as this is highest peak in this region. If you want to see the Sunrise, need to reach at the top by 6 AM, so that you can rest a while for 10 to 15 minutes and then enjoy the Sunrise. The Mountain is full of Rocks and thick jungle. We started from Makati city by Van - a group of 17 visitors at 11 PM and reached Daraitan town in Tanay at 2 AM. Last 1 hour drive was rough due to no real road. Towards end, you cross the river Tinipak over a narrow wooden bridge. We started to climb at 3:30 AM with a local guide with us. the Guide was carrying a Wireless Walkie Talkie. You must carry at Touch with Headband - so that your hands are free and need to wear hand gloves - as while going up or coming down, you have to take support of the Rocks (may have sharp edges) or Trees. Always follow your guide else you will be lost, the Path is muddy at some places. there are 3 stations (small rest area) where you get Coconut water or Coffee. We reached at the Sunrise Point at 6 AM however could not see the Sunrise due to Clouds and Fog, but the weather at the top (about 2700 Feet altitude) was pleasant. we had good photo shoot and then started to another peak called "Heart Peak" about 1 hour walk - passing through Rocks and caves. At Heart Peak Point you see splendid view of river Tinipak. Here you have facility to take some snacks and place to sit and relax. From there we walked down - thorough rocks and rocks at the base near river. Had lunch in Daraitan and returned back to Makati by evening. It is a good and slightly tough Trek but I am sure you will enjoy it.

Mt. Mapalad

Reviewed By dalebaba123 - Philippines, null

There is a new hiking destination that has been making rounds on social media of late. It is known for the two hand-shaped wooden stages in the summit. Never had I been to a mountain with such an attraction that I felt compelled to make the climb. When I started posting my own photos on Instagram I received many comments and private messages asking the specifics about this mountain. There aren’t many blog posts to date that the top Google search is a personal post, not a guide. So let me address your questions in this post. Here’s a day hike guide on this newly opened hiking spot in Rizal, Mt. Mapalad.

Treasure Mountain

Reviewed By jakainina22

It's a kid friendly place, it has something for everyone for the family. More than witnessing the sea of clouds the place offers breath taking views of the mountains, rope courses for the adventurous, atv for thrill seekers and swimming for the kids. They also have a restaurant and store that serves food, shakes and liquor. Treasure Mountain is already at the top of the mountain which is good for non hikers.

Real natural beauty spot for all ages. Fresh clean air and nice park after the bridge, I am senior and found out the comfortable stay within the area. There are not much ups and downs before you see the waterfalls. Unless you like to swim, then you go down to the streaming waters. Viewing from the deck was already a fantastic experience. Contented and pleased with this trip amidst the traffic while nearing metro manila.

Calinawan Cave

Reviewed By marceman84 - Antipolo City, Philippines

The tour is very cheap and affordable.. The adventure of being in the cave is very extreme and its very much recommended for thrill and fun seekers. Our tour guide (I forgot the name) is the granddaughter of Filipino "Robin Hood" Macario Sakay. Inside the cave she narrates the history and the events (even the shows and movies being captured there).. It is just my second time inside a cave and all I can say that this one is awesome..
